Does its job, never fails to allow me to use my CAC. I should probably get another one for my phone just so I can always use it on the go. It has broken on me yet and I don’t think it will anytime soon. It’s seamless to use plug it in with a USB-C port and insert your card with its respective chip.

I really like how small and light this is. I don't need smart card authentication every day. I used to have to carry around a larger and bulkier USB card reader in my laptop bag, just to have it when I needed it. This one takes nearly zero space and weight, but is always there when I need it. It works just as well as the larger, bulkier readers, which I think are mostly plastic.

First I want to point out that the item received does not have the red Identiv text printed on it as advertised in the image. I used the product daily at my desk for 4 months. It was kept in a small pocket in my device bag. One day I noticed issues with my card being read, and realized one of the folding arms was broken. I looked at my Amazon order to see if the manufacturer offered any kind of warranty. After selecting Product Support, the options are "troubleshoot on your own" or "contact the manufacturer" (offered by Identiv). Obviously nothing to troubleshoot here, as it is physically broken. I contacted the manufacturer, who informed me that they do not sell on Amazon, and it was probably a reseller called Identify. This reseller is called SCB Solutions, Inc. So, I spent $22 and it didn't last 4 months. Sure, I can superglue it back together, but in today's world I am not certain that this is a legitimate Identiv card reader, and would not recommend.

Very small, allowing me to easily keep it in my backpack to use with my laptop.

Excellent product that works as advertised. It worths the money.
