Lovely cachaça.
Bought to make caipirinhas. Never fails! Very aromatic sweet green sugar cane smell, not as strong as other cachaça brands, this is my favourite. Be sure to shop online or find specialist stores as sometimes the price on Amazon can be high (depending on stock etc). Flavour is great and usually good value for money. Can be had neat, with ice, or in cocktails (caipirinha is the best), but also works as a substitute for Vodka.

Velho Barreiro doesn’t play. It walked into my cocktail like, “Mojito? No sweetie. Caipirinha.” Smooth, punchy, and just the right amount of “let’s make bad decisions on a beach somewhere.” Is it fancy? No. Is it fun, feisty, and ready to start a conga line in your bloodstream? Absolutely. One sip and I was googling flights to Rio and pretending I knew how to dance. Pairs perfectly with lime, sugar, and ignoring all responsibilities. 10/10 - would samba again. I tried both the black and yellow label. I like the Black Label more, which I think was more vintage. My wife the yellow. Both are great though, seriously.

Nice product, eventually arrived from Amazon after issues with delivery.
Ordered before and the product is of a nice quality. Unfortunately the delivery was not clever and after 3 attempted deliveries the item was eventually received. Customer care contacted and were very helpful in resolving the issue.

Taste delicious. More subtle taste then other brand on Amazon. Definitely recommend it for cocktails.

This is different, and this is special. This is not your average cachaça, but it's now the only one we get. Wonderful earthy flavour, completely delicious.

Ich trinke richtig gerne Caipirinha und das ist mein absoluter Favorit Cachaca. Ich kann ihn nur empfehlen.

Wer Zuhause schon ein mal einem Caipi gemacht hat und sich gefragt hat warum so ein simpler Cocktail so mittelmäßig schmeckt hat hier die Lösung gefunden: der Velho Barreiro ist um Welten besser als Pitu und andere Cachasa's. und sogar noch etwas günstiger. Kein Chemischer Geschmack, nicht diese Schärfe sondern ein vollmundiges Aroma. Eine Limette zerstößelt mit 3bl Rohrzucker und 6cl Velho Barreiro in einem Glas mit Eis und man hat einen Caipirinha wie man ihn in Brasilien nicht besser bekommt. Klare Kaufempfehlung von mir und all meinen leicht angeheitertenFreunden!

Mein absoluter Lieblingscocktail ist Caipirinha. Dementsprechend musste ich endlich mal von diesem billigen "Pitu-Fusel" weg. Man kann gar nicht beschreiben um wieviel besser dieser Cachaça ist. Ein Hochgenuss - nur die "Gold" Variante finde ich einen kleinen Ticken besser. Ich habe mir zusätzlich auch den passenden brasilianischen Zucker mitbestellt. Es ist eine ganz neue Erfahrung und ich kann nun auch verstehen warum in Brasilien der Cachaça auch pur getrunken wird. Dieser Cachaça ist für jeden Caipi-Liebhaber ein Muss!
