great sensor!

Got gesture and proximity to work
I fished around on the net and found code to get Gesture and proximity to work. I got the gesture code from Adafruit and one line of proximity code from another source and patched that in to the gesture sketch commenting out the gesture code.

Easy to use multifunction sensor
Easy to use right out of the box. Downloaded the drivers and examples from Adafruit. Great for learning the use of sensors.

Not a proximity sensor.
It's unfair to call this a proximity sensor. Can't get any reliable distance readings. It's just a light sensor for R, G, B and IR. With a IR LED attached. The gesture stuff is cool but a gimmick.
