🔥🔥🔥impressed. ( i don't get impressed easy)
Welds look hand done. Very nice quality. Arrived today and i put it to work with 5 rabbit hides and a mink. This tool definitely worked. Yes it's not perfect for everything, but what is? Been tanning a good bit now and this makes a nice addition to the tools. Gunna get allot of use out of it.

Works really well!
I was using the spoon method prior to this which was tedious and frequently caused tears in my rabbit hides. This tool requires the same amount of time and effort as the spoon method but produces much higher quality results and no tears. I’m very satisfied with it.

No "bladed edge" so is difficult to use successfully
I like the one handed style, but there is no sharp edge. I expected a sharp edge, but has no "blade" side. Not really working very well. Updated: works great on salt cured hide if more fleshing is needed.

Don’t buy!
Bought to use on goat hide. Goats have thin hides, so I thought this would work. It’s advertised to be good for small animals ( thinner hides). Was disappointed the minute I took it out of the plastic bag. Poor quality made. The flange at the handle is loose enough that it rattles when using it- going to be hard to keep clean ( there is enough space for flesh/fat to get under it). The stainless steel is very low quality. The edge is dull and ragged. It also has a weird angle to both the blade edge and the curve of the head. And the handle is slightly crooked, which doesn’t seem too bad, but puts a strain on your wrist with continuous motion & the amount of pressure needed to make any progress on the hide. I used a curved fleshing board, but the corners of the tool still caught on the hide. The blade basically slid over the fat and membrane. I ended up using my skinning knife instead.

They look get and work well
I said the hog scarper did not come in. I was wrong! Bruning boxes today I found it. I'm sorry for the question I ask the seller and would like to change my rating of him to 5 star. Again I am sorry for my confusion.

chipped edges.
In general this seems like it could have been a pretty cool product. I raise meat rabbits and wanted to try a smaller scraper. it’s sturdy and seems like it would last, but the scraping edges have burrs and are chipped up. It’s in desperate need of a proper sharpening. It rips up the hides. It was very cheap, so I suspect that’s just what I purchased, so understand when you get it.. it’s gonna have to go in to get sharpened before you get to use it.

No edges are too shard cut the hide

As it came without any use the blade gas burrs and chips, you will likely need to put a proper edge on the tool before using it in any way to avoid the risk of tearing the hides you are using it on

This rusted tool is not what I paid for. Rusty and uneven edges.

The wood handle slid off within the first few pulls. Do not waste your money
