This album is built on Kenny G's most obvious strengths: his knack for writing hummable pop hooks and his ability to play those radio-friendly melodies in a breathy, fluid style that invites the listener to lie back and relax. When it comes to background music that's slightly catchier and peppier than most new age music, Kenny G is a master of his genre. The titles of Kenny G's instrumentals on are a good clue to his approach: "Sentimental," "The Joy of Life," "Forever in Love" and "The Wedding Song." Sentimental, in the sense of simplifying life to a set of comfortable feelings, is a good adjective for Kenny G's music, for even his wordless instrumentals push the listener's warm glow buttons while ignoring anything more complicated. Kenny G has several albums that are mostly instrumental and serve my purpose. This recording has quite a few songs featuring vocals from various artists. Once in a while, I don't mind the instrumentals incorporating appropriate smooth vocals when listening to the music of the morning.

Very nice CD
I gave this to my elderly mother cos she’s a Kenny G fan. Come to fine out, she had this on cassette already. I didn’t realize it was that old already. But the CD is good cos she can play it in a car. Not her car cos she has no CD player, but she can play it in my sister’s car or mine. Anyways, she loves it just the same. Highly recommend!

Used to replace scratched CD....
OK, took a star for the case being cracked. You don't send a product as new in a cracked case unless you don't care. Other than that the product was as expected. So the old case was used with the new CD. Next time make sure that if it is being sold as new then it should not have damaged to its contents nor case.

Kenny G Breathless
I received my Kenny G Breathless CD in just three days time which is most excellent. The CD itself was perfectly new as described. However the jewel case was broken although it was brand new and still in the cellophane wrapper. Some years ago when my son still lived at home, he would play this particular album at leisure or sometimes while getting ready to go out for the day or evening. There were special songs that I just couldn't get enough of and I would play the album while he was out. They are still near to my heart and when I played my own upon getting it from the mailbox it was eerie. I realized that all of those beautiful songs were playing and my son wasn't here with me. It is beautiful and I will never ever tire of the tunes.

"Breathless," it takes your breath away
The first time I heard "Forever in Love," I cried because it reminded me of my ex-boyfriend, and I heard it during our breakup. You do get melodies on this album that do what they weren't intended to: bring that feeling of sadness. Most of this album is mellow. The duets on this album, one with Peabo Bryson and one with Aaron Neville, are noteworthy. The determination utilized on "Even If My Heart Would Break" is captivating. This album embraces you with the initial spectacular upbeat "The Joy of Life." Other highlights are the beautiful "Sentimental" and "Alone" although all of the melodies on here are gems. The album closes with the sweet wedding song.
