Quality item - Please read...
This is a genuine 'Egg Perfect'... 1) I owned one for years and years and years (heavy usage) before it failed (split top and bottom) i.e. it definitely paid for itself, and then some! 2) I replaced this with, I think, three now that don't have 'EGG PERFECT tm' on the product. They don't last long, they split pretty quickly. 3) The genuine 'Egg Perfect' straight out of the packaging smells of absolutely nothing at all. The cheap copies *stink* of fibreglass resin and do so for many uses. 4) I think this product comes from the USA (maybe) so takes a while to arrive, well worth the wait though. Recommended.

Genuine.
Works every time, just wished the scale was clearer near the edge where I like my eggs done. Doesn't have that weird smell of the cheaper models.

Not as good as you might think
She used it but then complained that you have to be there watching the thing unlike when you use a timer so not sure this was such a great idea after all.

Beware: not the US-made original but a China copy
I purchased this exact version based on other reviews, alas the item received is not the genuine article. In short, this is not the Norpro item SKU: 5902C.

Easy to use and delivers on its 'Egg Perfect' promise
A friend recommended this product to me. My husband and I prefer soft boiled eggs and sometimes getting them just right has been hit and miss. Since we started using this product, our soft boiled eggs have been perfect every time. It's easy to use, just put it into the pan at the same time as you add the eggs. It works based on water temperature rather than time, and seems to have been calibrated to allow for the egg continuing to cook in the shell once removed from the pan, so don't be tempted to leave it a bit longer!

The real thing
Went by the review as I have bought others and none have worked like my original one. So when I read that it is the one that says egg perfect they were so right. This does work and is genuine product, dont hesitate if you want the proper thing

A ooh egg timer
I used my other one and it worked well but nothing lasts for ever

Poorly designed
The markings for 'Soft' disappear so far down the side of the egg-timer that when viewed from above in the saucepan any colour change is impossible to detect until the egg is already over-cooked.
