In my kitchen there are 3 x double sockets and a single socket with the cooker switch. This Last single socket is the one I use the most as the other double sockets are 1) for the fridge freezer and is skirting level, 2) the 2 other double socket are under a double cupboard and over a slim counter top and are really only useful for my toaster and coffee maker. Now the main reason for this review, 3) the most used single socket by my cooker, I use this for my kettle and microwave and for my food mixer ect. I had previously used a plug extension and all appliances were continuously plugged in. I had been looking for one which the individual appliances could be switched off, as I was worried that I could be overloading the original socket, I also found that since the old extension socket was off the type that hung below the socket it was sometimes difficult in removing the appliance plugs when finished using them. I had also been looking fur an extension socket that would sit above the wall socket. This extension plug socket was absolutely perfect for my needs. It fitted in the area with ease. I was able to plug in the 3 most used items with a socket spare. I liked the facts that they were able to be switched on and off individually and that they were colour coded. I matched one socket and coloured light switch to my kettle when that was switched on!. This extensiion also didn't interfere with the ability to turn the cooker switch on or off. There are two little wheels which are at either end of the extensiion plug socket which you turn to release two little legs which are to rest it against the wall. I couldn't use these as I have an electrical wire cover that interferes with this. I don't find it detrimental to using the sockets though by not using the legs. I'm very happy with this socket and wished I had found it much earlier.

The one in the kitchen seems quite sturdy, and the little sticky pads that come with it work well against the kitchen tiles, but I cannot say the same for the one in the lounge. The sticky pad which are included are for securing the top of the unit to the wall as it is plugged in with the plugs above the original. There are two screw adjusters each side so you can make them straight with the gap between the wall and the unit. The sticky pads are to help secure the unit to the wall. However, the sticky pads do not stay sticky for long on a painted wall, after about 4 weeks the pads are starting to peel away easily. This is not a massive problem, you just need to be extra careful when removing plugs for the socket so that the whole unit does not come out with the plug. I do like the colour coded switches, this means I can switch individual items on or off without having to try and remember which plug belongs to which device. Overall, a good buy, but remember to keep the spare sticky pads so that you can replenish them if they start peeling away from the wall.

Having bought three of these extensions that plug in and sit just under the double socket, I decided to buy the new one they produced which sits above the socket and it is just perfect for where I needed it. These extension plugs are really well made, strong, reliable and fit perfectly into single or twin sockets. They have two screw out supports at the back with sticky pads to keep the extension stable against the surface behind. I originally ordered a similar extension from another supplier but had to return it as it was of poor quality. All four of the MSCIEN extension plugs are individually switched so you only have to use the sockets you need at the time and prevent overloading. Also, they prevent tripping hazards you get with extensions on long leads. Highly recommended

Does the job nicely. I was worried that the weight of the plugs that I put into the sockets would pull the plug out forwards as it is top heavy, but that isn't the case. The little extender wheels at the back are very handy as well to keep it stable. I use this in my bedroom where I have a bedside lamp, heater, Echo dot, phone charger and sometimes also an electric blanket, hair dryer and straightener all trying to use the same socket. I was constantly fishing under the bed for the previous extender cable so I could switch out plugs and it was getting tiresome, not to mention the amazing volume of dust bunnies it used to collect under there as well. This is really handy because it gathers no dust bunnies, and is very accessible for when I need to switch out plugs, which I still have to do of course so I don't overload the system. I like the individual switches and the fact that they are different colours too. all in all, its neat and tidy and is better than I had before so what's not to like? I had no issues or delays in delivery, so I didn't contact the seller. No review available for that.

Solid piece of kit with good positive switches is the good news, the downside is that when plugged into a socket outlet it doesn't sit firmly. Modified this one by adding narrow wooden batten via rear spacers and screwing to the wall to steady it, now fine. OK for use where plugged in items are "permanent" say for pc/printer etc (as I have) but not when plugs are to be taken in and out on a regular basis.

Worked well for two years , then one of the plugs just stopped working. Had mine set up to power some display cabinet lights. If your lights are not working check the socket first before messing with your lights!

Surprisingly high quality. Fits nicely in a double socket, leaving one socket clear. Switches have a very positive 'snap' when operated. Screw fitting at each end which you unscrew until it touches the wall and holds the unit secure when plugging appliances in. A nicely made unit. I have also bought their double socket adaptor which has USB ports and two pin sockets suitable for razors, toothbrushes etc.
