Great product. I measured the old closet door catch and ordered this model. It fit perfectly, is easily adjustable and works like a charm.

I purchased these to turn a regular lockable door from my living area to the hallway into just a push to close door. It was very simple to drill the top of the door and install these ball catch hardware. I feel they are very durable, slip resistant, and improved the door openability to make better sense to me. I also have these type ball catch doors on all my closets, and am going to order this brand to replace the existing Ball Catch Hardware. The stainless steel is very attractive and the feel of the Hardware is more heavy duty than the existing. A great buy for sure.

This worked exactly as it was designed, but the instructions for installing it were not the greatest. When attaching the strikeplate, it is important to make room for the three "bumps" on the underside of the plate (the two screw holes and the opening within which would sit the ball bearing). I used drill bits and drilled shallow holes for this purpose and it worked very well...but NOTHING was stated about this in the instruction sheet. It did, however, work exactly as I needed it to. I would even say it was a good value. I will likely buy and install more of these.

WORKS AT DESIGNED AND REDUCED THE SOUND BY 95%

The design is decent, they’re made fairly well, and they affectively perform the task they’re designed for. With that said, the screws are too short and too thin, and the spring-loaded ball is loud when you open the door and it springs back. The photo in the ad also shows a retaining sleeve that would lock the housing in place once adjusted. Without that ring the entire body turns and changes its position over time. I modified mine by inserting a thin o-ring between the ball and housing, and I applied grease to the interior of the housing. I also added a drop of blue thread lock to hold the body in position. Those mods significantly reduced the sound and made the product work the way it should.
