These are perfect for what I needed. They are built well, fit very snug and were the right price. Something to know about Sony cameras. The hot shoe is very susceptible to water and moisture. If the hot shoe connectors get wet, even with a more weather sealed camera, the camera will throw some error codes telling you "the device can't be read by the camera" (paraphrasing here). Basically the camera is reading the moisture and assuming it's a device that isn't compatible. It's incredibly annoying and can last for a few hours until the hot shoe mount connectors are completely dried out. This happened to me on a recent wedding where it rained and it was a complete headache. I would honestly say if you want complete protection, use one of these and tape down the cover to protect any seams. If you're anticipating rain, it's a great idea.

I've purchased both and they look great. The metal ones match the colors of my Sony A6XXX series exactly. The plastic ones also look great. The plastic ones doesn't match the metal, but they look like they belong. Both fit snuggly and should stay in place. I bought the plastics as spares just incase I lose the metal ones.

I'm not sure why you have to order 3 or 5+ of these when you only need one but I suppose they want more money. I found the fit to be fine but the color is more of a very dark gray, not black, like the rest of my camera. I rated this product more on fit than finish.

I bought the single metal one which was the same price as the 3 pack, but I think those ones are plastic. It fits my Sony A6000 perfectly, I can't stress enough how good a fit this is, there is no way it's coming out unless I take it out, and it feels smooth against the top of the camera (it's perfectly level to the body). The colour also matches perfectly, it looks and feels like it's always been there lol. Look no further!

I ordered both the metal hot shoe cover, as well as the package of 3 plastic ones. This was for my Sony A99ii (I'm an A-mount nut) and the metal one fits nice and tight on it. The reason for this order was that the original (plastic) one that came with the camera got lost on a trip when I urgently grabbed the camera from my bag for a quick shot. So I wanted one that was a bit more tight than the original, and the metal one does exactly that. The plastic ones certainly are a good fit as well and stay in place quite fine under normal circumstances. So I will keep them as backup for when I lose the metal one.
