Best pocket tester from the best brand
Unfortunately, I go through way too many of these things because I’m clumsy. They are fragile, but not any more than you would expect from a lab grade instrument. Don’t waste your money on cheap generic testers. Don’t get me wrong, they work well….and you will think you’ve gamed the system for a couple weeks. Just when you get comfortable, that cheap ass tester will throw a fever dream reading at you one day. If you’re not paying attention, you’ll probably use that data to murder your plants. I’ve had a couple of generic pH/TDS/EC meters myself. They worked when they arrived, but they just didnt hold their calibration for more than a couple of days. After a couple of weeks, all the readings were haywire. I think I ended up wasting more money replacing multiple cheap ones then if i had bought one good one early on. If you’re still on the fence because of the cost just ask yourself how much time and money that reset will cost. now order the Apera. You only have to buy it once unless you are accident prone…like me:(

Impressive!
I got the Apera Instruments PCO60-Z Bluetooth pH/Conductivity/ORP/Redox/TDS/Salinity/Resistivity Smart Multi-Parameter Meter Tester Kit (boy is that a mouthful!), and I have to say, it's really impressive. This device is perfect for anyone who needs a reliable and accurate tool for measuring different water quality parameters. One of the best things about this tester kit is that it can connect to your smartphone via Bluetooth using the ZenTest mobile app. This allows you to monitor and log data in real-time, making it super easy to keep track of water quality and make informed decisions. The app is really user-friendly and lets you set up your own alerts, so you'll know if water quality parameters go out of range. The PCO60-Z also comes with a cloud-based datalogger, so you can securely access your data from anywhere in the world. This is really handy for professionals who need to monitor water quality in multiple locations. In terms of accuracy, the PCO60-Z is spot on. It can measure a wide range of parameters and delivers precise and consistent readings. It even has automatic temperature compensation, so you can trust the accuracy of the readings no matter the water temperature. The build quality is also top-notch. It's rugged, waterproof, and suitable for different environments. Plus, it's compact and lightweight, which makes it easy to carry around. Another cool thing is the calibration process, it's super simple to follow, especially with the mobile app. And it even has a calibration reminder, so you never miss a calibration. One thing to keep in mind is that the PCO60-Z is a high-end device with a matching price tag. Yet, if you're a professional or a dedicated hobbyist in need of accurate water quality measurements, it's definitely worth the investment. While it may require a significant initial investment, the long-term benefits and peace of mind make it a worthwhile purchase. Two thumbs way up!

Its been a life saver.
Easy to setup. Having the digital logs of the temps on my phone is massively helpful and I'm terrible at documentation.

Great Bluetooth Water Tester
I got this water tester for my aquaponics and hydroponics systems. I have to say this is an impressive tester that is very versatile and easy to use. It comes with everything you need to get started. It also comes with a nice little case to keep it protected when not in use. I love the fact that you can use their app with a datalogger. The app and datalogger can log all kinds of information for you to be able to study the sweet spots in levels. It even allows you to keep track of GPS and photos. That way you could use the same one with a friend for their setup and you can also take pictures of your plants to find out what acidity levels they like or to be able to find out if they are not doing well and track down why. It will also allow you to set ranges for all your test levels so that while uploading it via Bluetooth, if it goes over the preset range without you realizing it, the app will alert you. This can allow you to find patterns in your plants growth and overall system. Overall, this is a sophisticated, very versatile tester that also sells additional probes for other uses including a food probe to test the pH levels in food. I am very pleased with it so far.

Fantastic Capabilities in a Very Compact Package
Apera instrument comes in a compact carry case. Includes pH test liquid to calibrate the instrument. Also does common parameters necessary to tune a water system or to test water for swimming pools. Has bluetooth functionality, but I have not used that yet - I did install the Zentest app, but creating an account over the phone was not working, so I did it over their website, which took a day to do. Until I install the bluetooth capability, I will just directly read the screen on the instrument. Instrument also does total dissolved solids and hardness, salinity, as well as Oxygen Reduction Potential (ORP using a different probe), which are greatly appreciated. This tester is a great quick way to help the homeowner maintain their swimming pool with proper pH and hardness, but it does much more. For me, along with some of those sophisticated 20-in-1 test strip kits, it will aid me in testing and maintaining my drinking water treatment system. This compact kit is just the ticket. I appreciate Apera Instruments making this device available to the shoppers on Amazon.
