Child Safety Toilet Locks

This lock works PERFECTLY on my toilet! Now that my toddler is 20 months and interested in how toilets work, I really have to be careful about leaving the lid or seat up. He’s getting ready to potty train, which makes it all the more fun to hang out by the toilet. 🙄 since I can’t always remember to shut the door, I got one of these. It was really easy to install and adheres well! To make sure it was in the right spot before I installed it, I used a pencil to mark to outer edge of the part that sticks. I cleaned the area with rubbing alcohol, let it dry, then stuck it on! It helps to apply pressure for a good 30-60+ seconds, then LET IT SIT as long as possible. After testing it out to make sure it worked, I didn’t use the lock for 24 hours or so. That helps it adhere better. I love the little button that allows you to swing the lock..... but, so does my son. 😩 Luckily he can’t figure out how to push it AND swing the lock at the same time.... It’s easy enough to leave it unlocked too. Very simple, yet well thought out. I’m afraid it may leave a mark when I try to remove it someday, but I knew that could be a possibility. Our toilet seat is pretty old anyway, so it’ll just be a good excuse to get a new one LOL. I highly recommend this! Works great if you have pets that can lift the lid, also. Thanks for reading! Easy to install and use. It was placed in our main bathroom, which is used many times every day. I just took it off our toilet after using it for about 1 year and 2 months. The lock ended up breaking, so we had to manually move it and hold it in place to open the toilet seat. It was pretty difficult to remove, but I didn’t mind since it didn’t budge for the entire year.

It works! We didn't mount the piece that goes on the toilet tank and wasn't needed. Stays shut! Functions exactly as advertised! Will keep the kiddos and pets out of the toilet. Simple and fast to use. The way its designed should last as we have used it already many times so good durability. Does not stick when using. Works smoothly. I recommend! Feel my cats are now safe from trying to get at that toilet water.

We found this simple and easy to install and use as adults, but still it kept our baby out of the toilets when she became interested in them but was too little to potty train. We had a very tall and mobile baby that was walking early and these were a real life saver for us when she discovered the bathroom thrones. We felt it kept her safe and clean and saved our plumbing from having stuffed animals flushed. It also was much nicer than the kind that go from the side and latch because you only had to click a button, you didn’t feel like you had to fondle the toilet to secure it every time you used it. I’m no germaphobe, and I wash my hands, but this still felt so much cleaner to me! It was also easier for guests to use.

I got this toilet safety lock to prevent my grandson (who is a toddler) from opening the toilet. Positives: Well designed. Good instructions on how to install. Functional and does the job. Easy for adults to click the button and turn the lever. Negatives: It glues to the toilet seat cover. I have not tried to remove it, but I think it is a permanent attachment to the toilet seat. Not sure it would come off without leaving marks or being pried off. Once glued in place, you have to wait many hours to let it dry. You have to make sure installation is right where you want it, because I do not think you will get a second chance. So measure carefully and make sure of your placement. Limits sitting on the toilet seat cover a bit. I do not sit on the cover, but I know some people who do, and this lever will be a bit of an obstruction to those who like to sit on top of the toilet seat cover. Overall, my grade is an A-. I only give it a minus because in the years ahead when it is no longer needed, I think I might have to buy a new toilet seat or just live with the lever on the top.

These worked great at first to keep my daughter from playing in the toilet water but they still allow a space to where she can stick hot wheels and other small toys in the toilet and I’ve had to call the plumber already 🫠

This lock has been a literal life saver. Our toddler was OBSESSED with the toilet. This keeps her safe & provides us peace of mind. Also very easy for everyone in the home to operate / to install. We tried another kind of lock and it just didn’t work the way we needed it to. This is 100% worth it.
