Product is great - instructions... not so much
This is the best "refill at home" kit available right now. It's the only one with the motor valve/timer, quick disconnect fittings and the new threaded tank design. I've had this installed and running for a bit now and I have no problems with it functionally. There are two areas of improvement the company could make. First, is the tubing included needs to be coiled into a circle for shipping. They have it folded and the tubing I received was full of creases. I ended up ordering some CO2 resistant black tubing from another seller. The other problem is Hygger needs to hire a proper technical writer and give much better instructions with the product. As of right now, this product is not listed on Hygger's website - at all. The instructions included are absolutely horrible. You will find better instructions on this Amazon listing than anywhere else. It doesn't take a rocket surgeon to figure a lot of this out, but people new to these things may have some difficulties. Even with the old model this replaces, there are youtube videos where the people installing it are completely lost trying to assemble/set it up looking at the instructions. Eventually the figure it out, but this could be avoided easily by Hygger. Also, people should be using 600g baking soda, 462g citric acid and 900ml water. This (and every other 5L CO2 setup) recommends 600g baking soda, 600g citric acid. That is not the correct formula and 462g of citric acid is all that is used in the reaction, the rest is waste. And as citric acid is much more expensive than baking soda, you can also reduce your operating costs by using the lesser amount. It would be nice if Hygger and the rest of these updated their instructions/stickers to reflect this. The timer was easy to program, but I do recommend people initially putting it into manual mode to get it going. You will hear the motor open/close when activating it. Once you get it working in manual mode and get your desired bubbles/second set, then program your start/stop times in the timer and activate auto mode. The included diffuser is very good as far as a fine mist of micro-bubbles. I'd recommend purchasing a bigger funnel for filling, the included one is a bit on the small side IMO. All in all, this is a great unit for people who can't or don't want to get CO2 from local sources and want to be more self sufficient in making their own CO2. The cheapest baking soda/citric acid is found on Amazon in 50lb buckets.

Seliod does not stop the CO2
Had some issues with the seliod at after a few days of using it. After emailing Hygger we had it working correctly after a few steps.

Perfect automated system for my nano tanks
Very good stainless steel quality, seems very durable, good for the money since it has a timer. The co2 coming on and off can be weird at first but it is very quiet. This container fits under my stand perfectly. Everything was easy to use and easy to set up. Actually bought 2 of these since they were a good price. One batch of co2 mixture at 4 bubbles every 3 seconds last me about a month for my 20 long. Down side of this is that it makes your plant grow too quick lol. Love it though.

Works great
Has been working good. Plants are growing quick. I give it a little swirl when I add ingredients. Not sure if you’re supposed to or not but I do. Only issue I’ve had is the water in bubble counter seems to disappear after a week or 2.

Works but get someone to rewrite your instructions and timer
Unbelievably bad instructions, killed some fish. The timer requires a decoder ring to use. Only use if you know exactly what you're doing

Satisfied
Not the greatest enclosed instructions but once I figured it out, I'm happy with the system.

solid product for a small home aquarium.
nice tank, hefty. I like the timer solenoid, but the whole stack of valves is slightly wobbly. the needle valve is solid, thought bubble count adjustment is tricky as I have a 6G tank, aiming for 5 to 10 bubbles per minute. Solenoid is cold to touch, as described. Timer is a bit tricky to adjust, specially turning into manual mode to set bubble count, but got used to it. The addition of the timer is great as most other sets do not include timer. two months of using it. review and star system updated due to recognition of user error!
