Acumen Disc 1 to 5 DVD CD Duplicator - Multiple Discs Copier Tower Machine with 24x Writers Burners Drives (Standalone Audio Video Copy Duplication Device Unit)

Over the years- decades, really - I've acquire loads of family movies & moved them to DVD. Recently, I've decided I need a better backup plan than the original tapes plus the DVD, & I also want to make some extra DVD copies for particular family members. This particular device can make up to 3 copies at a time, which is normally all I will need. It copies the original rather quickly - fast enough not to be concerned about it taking much time so I haven't timed any. Dirt simple to use & so far all the copies have turned out fine. Using Phillips DVD-R 16X. Only caveat at this point is that I've had it less than 30 days, & only made about 15 copies, so this can't be regarded as a lengthy test of reliability. But it does mean that I had no out of the box problems.

The unit came in a timely fashion and none of the packaging was damaged. The product itself has a nice sturdy build quality and is quite heavy. The two clear sides next to the controller light up blue and it's a very cool look. It works quickly and hasn't messed up a disc yet. My 45 minute DVD copies in about 5 minutes and that's probably the highest amount of time it will have to handle for me. Inside the box was a DVD containing the instruction manual in pdf format, like you'll need that anyways. It's fairly simple to use. One warning is that it is extremely loud when idle and even louder while burning, not a problem for me but I felt I should let you all know. It also has two tamper evident seals on the back that will void your warranty if broken. Great little burner. :)

Used for several months. Takes a little of time to figure out. Works more like a computer than a conventional stereo recording device. But easy to operate once you begin using it. VERY QUICK.

This is the second machine (replacement for first one returned) I have from this vendor. The first machine was indeed defective (even though the vendor says no in my question prior regarding the first machine). The first machine threw out "source errors" randomly and intermittently on known good masters (meaning masters that burned just fine from other machines). Additionally, this second machine has burned those same masters just fine right out of the box which further confirms that the first machine was faulty. Revised to one star on May 22, 2022. I have now had this second machine for only four months. It is now failing to duplicate anything, will not finish the copy process (so many discs are ruined and must be thrown out as a result) and as of yesterday would not turn on at all upon pressing the power button. Save you money. Find another manufacturer. Pros: 1) Easy to use 2) Fast burn times 3. Very quiet while running 4. Nice utilities in the menu (once you locate them). Cons: 1) No manual. Start up sheet only. Manual is on disc which is okay but not so good if you do not have a dvd player/writer for your computer. 2) Menu interface is not really intuitive for the novice but fine if you've been around such machines as I have for decades. So in summary, anyone buying one of these machines should test it thoroughly before deciding it is okay as the vendor only gives 14 days return time if ordered from them directly. Fortunately, Amazon allows 30 days so I was within the window when the first machine started acting up. This second machine I have now thoroughly tested by burning over 20 different masters from our product line and it is functioning perfectly thus far. I will continue to test and update this review if needed.

Look Let's Face the Facts !!! CD are on a huge decline in a Huge Way!! With the rebirth of Vinyl Lp that has taken over the music markets and Mp3 downloads helping put a 1, 2 punch to the death of CDs ,they are still a remnant of folk that still use the the life supported medium ! Churches, Ministries,Indie Artist ,Yes Grandma and Grandpa , and Other Categories still consumes this media type! After years of burning and replicating this media this is the best duplicator for the buck!! look this is not your average duplicator ! It Duplicates DVD as well and let's keep it real most named brand units will run you $500 USD + easily ! Me and my Wife's ministry was in need of one and this was a no brainer !! We are about to buy two more for ministry because of the high quality and extreme low price !

Since all of the discduplicator shops in my area are closed due to Covid. I had to start making my own discs at home. Picked up the acumen disk duplicator. It worked incredibly fast but the manual is rather poor and it required a little bit of finagling.

This was very easy to set up and use. I am converting old VHS family movies to DVD and wanted to make copies for many relatives. Have made about 135 copies so far with zero problems. Really fast to duplicate DVDs. Had it less than one month but seems to be a quality product that works as advertised.

I have many DVDs of family events that I needed to make copies of for family members. This works great. Very easy to use. It is also very fast at copying. Just what I needed. Great price.
