Great toy, my grandson loves it and the colors are vibrant & beautiful. He loves the music on it too. Arrived quickly

so fun!
my 4 year old with autism is obsessed with eric carle. this has been hours of fun! my only compaint is i wish it was a little easier to put it back into the box. you definitely need 2 hands ( which might be hard for younger kids/ones with disabilities. adults can probably do it fine ). good value!

Cute - not scary :)
My title is "Cute - not scary" because I know some children are startled easily by Jack-in-the-box type toys. This is mostly because of the loud noise they make when they POP up out of the box. My husband STILL winces when turning the crank on a jack-in-the-box due to past trauma (lol). I was rather pleasantly surprised when we received ours to find that the noise made when the caterpillar pops up isn't loud at all. It's the quietest jack-in-the-box toy I've ever seen really. So it's good for small kids. I don't think it would frighten them like other loud ones might. It plays the traditional song all of these play. Of course it is extremely cute too. It matches our baby's nursery theme which is why I purchased it. Just a word of advice - watch the price on this one. I noticed it tends to fluctuate between $15 all the way up to $24.99.

It doesn’t shut good after it ooos open. But besides that , it’s adorable!

Cute but won’t last long
Very cute. For the most part, it’s what I was expecting. Wish the quality was better. The caterpillar pops out crooked, and I can’t bend its head back in place to normal. I don’t think this will last long it’s pretty poorly made, but it serves the nostalgic purpose.

I was concerned that the sudden opening of the box would scare my 10 month old granddaughter but she reached out for it right away and started chewing on the lid. She would not give it up even after being presented with other toys - not sure what the attraction was butit could be the tune or the little worm or perhaps the lid was soothing to her gums! No matter, in my opinion a very good choice and I am glad I purchased it for her.

It is exactly what I expected it to be. I was a little worried that it might not pop up because the clip on it looks just like one from a Halloween jack in the box I have that doesn't pop. But that little bug springs up no problem.

Not sure how well it will hold up. Doesn't look like its very well made. We had to return the first one because the box will not close. We chose this one because our grand daughter has the caterpillar book and it seemed less scary than the joker.

Cute but the latch doesn’t stay shut so the caterpillar often pops out.
