Would never recommend this for children
We have almost all the books from thus author and illustrator, and we love most of them. But this one book is not worth buying. Story doesn't suit children below 10 years. It isn't age appropriate for the mentioned category. Story mentions cigar, smoke rings and smoking which are definitely not for the kids. I am just shocked at the positive reviews on this book.

A lovely, heart warming story that is a joy to read. The rhyming text flows beautifully and keeps children engaged, while the illustrations are bright, detailed and full of character. It has a sweet message about love and kindness and works perfectly for bedtime or shared reading. A wonderful book that children enjoy again and again.
