Useful telescope, with its troubles. Value for Money.
Optics Decent quality optics. The light gathering capacity is average due to 70mm aperture which is in line with the price. With 20mm eyepiece (35x magnification), image is good and sharp. With 4mm eyepiece(175x magnification), image is softer and not bright. Finderscope is good enough with crosshairs. The Barlow Lens I received is pretty much useless. Chromatic Aberration is present but it's very much expected in a refractor in this range. Jupiter's band and moon can be seen. Saturn's rings can be seen. Moon's craters are vividly visible, as evident int he pictures attached. Tripod The tripod itself is good enough for the weight of telescope. The mount is shaky and had lot of free play. The altitude fine adjustment screw mechanism has free play too. But not a deal breaker at this price and casual usage. I put a dry heavy towel over the centre of telescope to dampen out the vibrations. Overall it's a decent telescope for the price. Definitely lets you see so much farther than you could see with a similarly priced binocular. The Light gathering capability ie not great but that's not a problem in daytime terrestrial viewing. If you can worlk around it's shortcomings like poor mount, etc, it's a useful optical instrument.

BEST BEGINNER TELESCOPE
Very Good telescope, it is portable, easy to use and assemble, and the clarity is very nice in 20mm eye piece but, not good when used more zoom (4mm eye piece). So, because of clarity issue I will give it 4/5

Wastage of money
Totally useless product. Don't fall into the trap reading the reviews. The product doesn't remain stable. You do not get what you spent for.

The powerseeker
i am able to see the two bright gas giants with it the Jupiter ( and it's moons as bright dots) and Saturn( prominent with it's rings) , while the outdoors are usually light or just in general polluted, so no milky way andromeda or deep space objects yet..and for some reasons i haven't had the moon at night . It's a cheap build though , The one i got has it's altitude adjust knobs holding screw not working (it doesn't lock ), it's objectives are fine, while the Barlow is basically useless for anything else than terrestrial observations , it's 4 mm eyepiece is shooting outside it's usable magnification range ( 60x2 =120x) ,the image it makes is good enough but i think you should rather go with a 6 mm , the az stand's legs are (Hollow cubical ) aluminium with height adjustments and itself is some painted iron well positioned , it does have slight issues with locking but you get used to it.. i doubt the stand's durability as general wear and tear of mechanical gear and screw assembly with a possiblity of rust, that and it being a model from the 2010's ( allthough not manufactured at that point )or earlier ( refractors goes back to 1600s ).. It's viewfinder need to adjusted or calibrated to a point light source first favourably during the day with the 4 mm objective and you are good to go, it didn't appear that useless to me unless you are taking the scope with you for your honeymoon or keep on disassembling the tube..i would also mention the entire assembly process is fairly easy. This was my first ever telescope so late in life after eyeing it for about 7-8 years ( couldn't believe i would use it so less),because of that and the fact the alternatives are Astro binoculars while having a telescope gives you ability to observe space in real time of the planet with stability and allthough /don'tbuythepowerseeker but it's the only telescope at it's price..i just couldn't return it .. or even replace because of the huge package ..and for all it's worth i don't want to for the experience it provides.

Fantastic Beginner Telescope, must to have for children and adults
We tend to go out to visit places in our country and abroad, but with this minimum budget telescope we get a chance to go out to look far out the celestial bodies like planets, moons, stars and even galaxies (in pure dark area away from city lights). It gives a satisfaction to realize the fact (from imagination) that we're part of the solar system its its been running seamlessly for millions of years. If you look at planets, you'll also realize that we're so small and our problems we think we have in life is nothing when compared to whole universe. This is a best telescope, I have seen moon, Jupiter, Saturn (including rings), Venus, Mars. Very easy to use this telescope for spotting a planet (finderscope) and focusing. The only discomfort I've observed is that when the object keep moving, the slow motion adjustable rod which is used to navigate the object up/down. this is not smooth as like focusing. But manageable. Also moving the object left/right is also not that smooth/minute. Rotating the Altazimuth mount is smooth, but not that minute to navigate the object left to right. Once you practice it for 3 to 4 times, you'll be used to it, so it is not at all a showstopper. It's hard to take a photo of what you see in viewfinder using mobile phone. Luckily with few tricks, got a snap of moon and planet Jupiter, please refer uploaded here.

Not for the impatient ones !
Let me give you the perfect review .,first of all i wasn't very convinced about buying this product at first due to all the bad reviews but then i read some guides on astronomy from small telescope etc.., which showed a number of objects to see from small scope and to me that was very convincing and i bought this. First of all the finder is really cheap and bad quality which makes star hopping impossible secondly clusters and other DSOs are very faint in it ..The tripod is steady enough but the real shakiness comes due the long tube like structure of the scope which makes it shake very much on slightest touch which in turn makes focusing and star hopping a near impossible task..Trust me if you have fairly clear skies and don't care about seeing the rings on Saturn or any other planetary details then 10x50 binoculars are way better start as they are 1000 times easier to handle and carry and u can still see tons of clusters and a few DSOs with it which is sure a way better start.. When to buy this telescope:- 1.This can be a perfect buy for someone just interested in seeing the craters on the moon or rings on saturn or jupiter with its four moons. 2.Gift for a child to get him interested in astronomy 3.Occasional viewers. When not to buy 1. First of all this is absolutely not for the impatient people 2. If someone is already interested in astronomy and is sure of pursuing the hobby. 3. Living in light polluted area 4. Want to see clusters or DSOs aka beyond the solar system CONCLUSION-in a nutshell if u just want to get a telescope and have a jist of what astronomy is really like or want to get that spark ignited then it might be a choice as will show good views of the moon and moderate of planets but to someone who wants to spend some quality time and is very keen on taking up astronomy as a hobby for sure and is on a tight budget then 10x50 binoculars are way and way better choice (as long as there is no desire of planetary detials) and later you can buy a 5" reflector or possible a 6" dob telescope
