Travelflex Led Book Light, Silver

Great light for clipping to your book or kindle. It gives off a really bright directional light over the whole book but doesn't disturb anyone nearby so is ideal if you like to read in bed when your partner is asleep. I have had other clip on lights but really like this one and would buy it again.

This a really nice compact light which gives more than ample coverage of the Kindle Keyboard. At a little over £8 including delivery it was good value and I'd buy another one.

Es justo lo que necesitaba, muy ligero, una sola pila (trae una incluida, pero la idea es tirar de recargables) y en teoría dura unas 24 horas con esa pila. Sólo tiene un led, pero da luz más que suficiente. Hay que buscar la posición justa para que no refleje en la pantalla del kindle, pero como es completamente maleable no es ningún problema. Estoy encantado con la compra.

I was a little worried when ordering about the quality due to a reviewer who reported receiving two non-working units, but lots of other reviewers seemed pleased. When I flipped mine on, I became slightly worried again, because it didn't flip right on. (1) I checked the battery -- it is shipped in the reverse position so that it cannot accidentally be triggered and run dry during storage. (2) But it still wouldn't flip on! Turns out there is a thin plastic shrink-wrap film on the battery that has to be removed. I can imagine someone overlooking either of those things and thinking they had a lemon. Be sure to check both of those things. The gooseneck is firm and can be bent into almost any position. The clip is firm. The whole unit is light enough that it doesn't distort a substantial paperback. I have it clipped to the last twenty or so pages and the back cover of "Good Calories, Bad Calories" and it feels unobtrusive. It would probably distort a pamphlet or a magazine. The light is very even thanks to a good plastic diffusor lens. It doesn't spill out over both pages of a book, which might be nice, but of course would require more wattage. Instead, it illuminates one side of the book well, and I give the gooseneck a little shift each time I go to the next page. It is also a bit of a "cold" light as you might expect from an LED. Not terribly romantic, but the slightly bluish white is very crisp, even and sharp. I have previously owned the original incandescent Itty Bitty Booklight. It ran hot and either required a wall adaptor or chewed through its batteries. This Mighty Bright LED model is a much more practical product. I have used it about 5 evenings now -- not long enough to give much indication of battery life. It uses a single AAA.

The light is slim, lightweight and distributes light evenly over two pages of the book. The light it emits is soft and doesn't cause a glare.

Diese Klemmlampe funktioniert gut und kann ein aufgeschlagenes DIN A5-Buch fast vollständig ausleuchten. Die Lichtverteilung ist angenehm gleichförmig und der Schwanenhals gut einstellbar, was eine saubere Positionierung des Lampenkopfes ermöglicht. Ich weiß nicht, warum von diesen Lampen immer wieder behauptet wird, sie eigneten sich angeblich nicht für eBooks, aber vielleicht bezieht sich das auf spiegelnde Displays - solche Aussagen werden ja leider nie erläutert. Um es daher kurz zu machen: Selbstverständlich eignet diese Beleuchtung sich auch für eBooks, aber die brauchen eben einen Hauch mehr Licht als Papier und sehen im Kunstlicht nicht ganz so hübsch aus wie echte Bücher. Meinen Kindle Paperwhite kann ich damit jedenfalls wunderbar lesen. Dass man für den natürlich auch eine Hülle braucht, an der man die Beleuchtung festklemmen kann, versteht sich von selbst - und das wäre auch kein Mangel der Lampe, sondern des eBooks. Mir war vor allem wichtig, dass dieses Gerät mit einer normalen AAA-Batterie betrieben werden kann. Wie lange die jetzt im Dauerbetrieb hält, wird sich erst noch zeigen, aber die bei anderen Modellen benutzten Knopfzellen dürfte sie dicke in den Schatten stellen. FAZIT: Bezahlbar und gut.
