DISTO X4

I have used Bosch, DeWalt, and Fluke laser measures. They all fall short of the Leica Disto X4, This laser measure is easy to use and it is accurate, I am in the construction trade and am constantly measuring the walls of buildings and houses. The DST360 adapter gives it even more abilities. Sadly the adapter is probably twice the cost of the actual laser measure. This is the only thing I do not like about this unit. Would love the ability to measure a wall from a distance using point to point measurements to get total area. This cannot be done unless you are using the adapter DST360 with the unit.

I do a lot of measuring as an appraiser and this is a wonderful tool for the job! I love the viewfinder screen, it makes measuring in sunlight much easier. And it hardly uses any batteries, mine last for months on end before they have to be replaced.

Leica products are high class, but this model is a good move. Not as expensive as a popular 7500 model, but performes awesome. Highly recommend if you in need of laser ruler that calculates triangle (slope,horizontal distances), simple plane etc.

This is my second Leica laser measure. The last one I had did not have the visual finder. Most all of my measurements happen outdoors, so the laser was very difficult to see in bright sunlight. So, I upgraded to this one, and that problem is solved. Even though I don't use all the features and primarily use the single distance mode, it's great having the other features at my fingertips when I need them. You cannot go wrong with a Leica.

Pricey but great quality. Offset feature is great for getting it off the floor for height measurements. Wish the app wasn’t all paid upgrades. Camera zoom is fantastic, although picture quality could be better.

Very easy to use

This replaces a HILTI with a lifetime warranty. They refused to honor the warranty on a unit that looked new and was always in the case. Said it was too old. That's not a lifetime warranty. The unit was a PD 40. They would not offer any assistance on discount for replacement product. I'm done with Hilti. Sorry I didn't buy the Leica the first time. Great AMAZON service!

The laser has stopped working with only 6 months of use. Never dropped or damaged. Either I got a dud and they can replace it or this stays a 1star. I will update this review if they do.

Horizontal distance taking difficulty with slight variations. Tripod shall be made available at amazon or similar platforms. Disto plan app purchases are difficult with credit cards

c'est une machine de guerre , cependant la qualité de l'image sur l'écran de visée est en bas de ce que j'espérais pour du Leica ,, la résolution de la lentille de visée est vraiment très faible
