HYPERLITE - Hexagonal Garage Lights (3 HEX)

These are wonderful lights and easy to install and very lightweight. The only issue is they are not dimmable. I didn’t consider this as an issue upon purchasing. I reversed the lights because they were so bright. It def helped, Then I thought about a dimmer switch… Well, I missed my window of return. Reviews they don’t add a dimmer switch as the LED lights flicker and act strange. These are not dimmable LED bulbs. Overall, I would give a five star. legitimately very bright, keep that in mind when you order. These are good for a garage. Purchase the dimmable ones for your kids room for gaming.

I was very excited when I first saw this offered on Amazon. I have a large garage that is mostly for my woodworking tools and DIY projects. I also like to wash and detail my vehicles myself. So my garage must function for multiple uses. This set of LED light bars from Hyperlite is perfect for the car detailing portion of my garage. It was very fairly easy to install by myself, but I wish that I had some help with affixing the hex lights to the ceiling. It is very bright and super lite weight. The kit comes with individual light bar sections and "V" & "Y" connectors that you assemble into the pattern of your choice. There is one power cord that plugs into one of the "Y" connectors to provide power to your lights. Each connector has a hole to run a fastener through it to attach to your ceiling or wall. I chose to mount mine to the ceiling to provide extra light for my auto detailing. I first laid down an old sheet on the garage floor and proceeded to connect the pieces into three hexagons in a row. Doing this you will have one extra connector. I then located a rafter stud in the ceiling that I could use to mount two pocket hole screws in. This completed hex light is so lite that this was all I needed to hold it into place while I secured some more mounting points. The kit comes with plastic wall anchors that I used for the rest of the mounting points that did not fall on a rafter stud. The last step is to plug in the power cord into the "Y" connector and plug the other end into the outlet. They provide 3 wire nuts which I guess are in case you want to hard wire it to a switch. The one thing that they do not provide is a remote-control unit. Since I would guess most people would mount these hex lights to the ceiling and plug them in to a ceiling outlet, there is no way to control the lights. I purchased a single switch remote for $10.00 on Amazon, but I think that Hyperlite should include the remote in the kit. For $50.00 for this 3 hex LED kit I feel it is on the higher end of the price spectrum, especially without the remote. Due to the ease of installation and how much light this kit provides I can definitely recommend these 3 hex LED light kits from Hyperlite....

I have multiple LED lights from HYPERLITE, like their temporary work lights, these really cool multi-headed lights that are screwed into a standard E26 socket, and a set of their Gen 1 LED hex lights. When I had a chance at their Gen 2 LED hex lights, I jumped at the chance with the knowledge of the high-quality materials and craftsmanship that HYPERLITE puts into all of their products. With any light such as this that has a long length, it's always best to have someone help with installation, and this set of 3 hexagon LED lights is no different. It's great that you have a choice in how they can be installed, and connected in different ways. If desired, they can even be expanded with additional sets. These LED lights are super bright and will illuminate almost any space with ease. My garage had an old fluorescent light, and I was looking for a better and more energy-efficient replacement. I love that LED technology uses a lot less power than halogen, fluorescent, or any other type of light. I wanted to try this hexagon LED kit in my room before installing it in my garage, and I’m impressed with the brightness and ease of use. The lights are incredibly bright, with a clean white color temperature that makes the space look sharp and well-lit without any shadows. Inside behind the diffuser is a row of LEDs, but there are no dark spots, looks very nice. Installation is straightforward, and they supply a bunch of plastic wire ends and mounting hardware. The clear snap-on connectors and hidden wires are nice, really easy to clip each light into place. You can only install them in one direction, so it only takes a couple minutes to fully wire this together. I also appreciate that the kit includes multiple installation options, so you can choose what works best for your space. Each light block is about 16.25 inches, and the overall size of each hexagon is about 36 inches. This kit includes 3 hexagons in total, so this would be great for studio walls, kitchens, etc. I know HYPERLITE makes much larger kits, or you could even double your order of this kit and combine them. For those who are curious, there is no remote dimmer for these. You connect them all together and run the cable to an AC outlet. One other thing I noticed is that you don't need to complete the hexagon; each strip is lit individually. Overall, this is perfect for my plans, would recommend for smaller rooms!
