10 Pcs EC11 Rotary Encoder Dode Switch Audio Digital Potentiometer with Switch - 20MM

The ALPS encoder I was replacing operated in the opposite polarity to this one, and since I don't have access to the firmware, the only thing I could try would be reversing pins or something. As it is, clockwise decrements on my unit. The polarity is determined by which pin fires first as the encoder is turned. Not sure how one would know in advance, I guess there are spec sheets or maybe someone can read that chart they post in the listing. Anyway I thought the unit was solid, nuts and washers are included, if you can't bend a pin back straight this hobby ain't for you.

some encoders sometimes give me two signals per detent, using these for a sim racing steering wheel to adjust TC and ABS using a Arduino Pro Micro and gives me accurate signal to detent ratio ! nice and small size too. I like them !

Although this product works for my 03 BMW Z4 radio, it is incorrectly wired internally. The on/off works as it should, the problem is the volume control. If you turn it to the right it lowers it, if you turn it to the left it highers the volume. It gets it rating because it works. It would get the 5 but my OCD won't allow it. If you are not bothered by it, it would be a great purchase, especially for the price.

I'm using these on an arduino volume knob project I'm working on. The encoders are sturdy and compact. They are easy to work with, but make sure you add debounce code to whatever software you're using them for or you'll get bouncing (random opposite values from the way you're turning). They are an excellent value for the price. I would definitely buy again.

My control knob broke off of my Cuisinart Pellet Grill (the stem to the knob control). I purchased these thinking I could cut the wires and resolder them to this new part. So far it's working like a charm!

I like the small form factor. This is the same encoder switch used in the Arduino rotary encoder board also available. Easy to use with Arduino. Will order more.
