Best £200 I've spent this summer
This worked a treat during the hot summer days. In Aircon mode it can get a little noisy but I think it's a small price to pay as it's cooling the room. Not only is it a little noisy but you can hear it "humming" away through the floor and through the walls. I live in a semi detached house and I'm worried my nextdoor neighbor might hear it through the night which is why I've sat in on top of some dense foam pads. This has reduced the vibrations considerably. There seems to be a small tank inside which you can't remove but it does come with a clear pipe attachment to drain the water. After 2 -3 days of use water was spilling out slightly so you must remember to drain it often. I personally don't use the pipe, I just pick up over the bathtub and empty it by tipping over to its side. Bearing in mind it's roughly 20kg so it is quite heavy Also the exhaust/extraction pipe it comes with is too short. It's about 1.5m long so I ended up by an extension kit for it.

Excellent
So for the last few years we are finding ourselves facing some extremely hot temperatures in the UK and last year we made the purchase of our first one of these air conditioning units. It made for a good nights sleep in otherwise impossible conditions. This year, we decided to purchase another for the downstairs of our home as we were facing 40c temperatures. The machine is heavy, however, has wheels for moving around. The hose on the back could do with being longer to reach out of the window, which even with open enough for hose exit does not have huge effect on the room cooling down. We have added an extra hose (universal and attached with a wire tie) to the end of ours and although "officially" you cant, once it yours you can try what you like and this made it easier for us to stretch the hose that bit further. Basically, its plug in and go, you have choices of mode, 1 is air conditioning which pumps out very cold air and removes the hot air through the hose (which can get pretty hot proving how hot the air in the room is) and will make an unbearable room seems so comfortable to be in....there is a temp reader on the machine for you to choose what temperature you want the room cooled to. I have to admit that this unit struggled to get the room any cooler than 24c when we were in extreme 40c temperatures but Ill still take that thanks. The other mode is a fan mode, which is not an air conditioner its just a regular fan style system which you can switch to when the air has been cooled to desired temp on the air con setting. Watch how fast the temperature rises in the extreme heat and I guarantee you will be switching the air con mode back on within a short time. Basically, we now have 2 of these, 1 upstairs and 1 downstairs. Yes its expensive, but still cheaper than having units fitted to your home, they to me are an investment because this extreme weather is not going away its only going to get harder. Have been using on and off for the last several weeks in the hot East of England.

Excellent - Cools down a double sized bedroom rapidly.
Purchased July 2022, used during the unbearable heat last year & now back out of its box for the 2023 heat !! - makes a huge difference and only draws 730 watts (trust me that is good for an air con unit) yes it’s a little noisy but they all are unless you get a wall mounted external unit (hugely more expensive and use a lot more power) and for the short time it gets used during the summer heat this is the better option as you can just store it away for next summer. We use ours with the ‘Timer Off’ function on the remote - set it for 2/3 hours - does its thing and shuts itself off (rinse & repeat as required) It’s also set to cool mode (not auto cool) this enables us to drop the fan speed for a lower noise level. Highly recommended.

absolutely brilliant room air conditioner
Absolutely brilliant Compact package unit cools really well .for this price you can't go wrong.easy to use .only thing is that fan speed can't be controlled. That's the only thing however it looks brilliant and well made .if you are looking for a budget air conditioner that does what it says then this is for you .all accessories also useful when trying to instal. First few minutes you might not feel any cool air out of it but don't worry it will .specs on remote also easy to use .on and off timer with led back-lit.

Excellent for the price
This little AC unit is fab! I have a small dog grooming salon (12ft x 8ft) which becomes extremely hot during the summer months particularly when I’m drying the dogs. The AC unit is super easy to use and relatively quiet.(You’ve got to expect some noise from a machine that is sucking/blowing air!) It comes with everything you need to fit the extraction pipe to the window without any need for diy skills or drilling/nailing etc. The remote is great for me as I can have it to hand when I have a dog on the grooming table. With 25degrees outside today, the salon was lovely and cool in about 20mins from switch on and I even had to turn it off as it got a bit chilly! I would definitely recommend!

Good and compact but little info on how to clean the unit.
Great: Compact compared to others Keeps you cool Fabulous for hot days Nice design Cheap Bad:you need a kit The exhaust pipe is too short so has to be close to a window! No instructions to maintain it Can sometimes be smelly! Generally, it will burn through electricity but the joy is great cool weather. The unit is heavy, but all are in general. Can sometime tell me how to maintain it?!?

Really cools the room quickly
This air con unit really cools the room. It made last weeks hot weather bearable. Any time we left the house, we couldn't wait to get back to the air con unit! It cools the room quickly and isn't too loud. Really pleased we made to decision to make the purchase, hoping it will serve us well as we have more of these hot periods.
