Weight Management Dog Food Dry, Shredded Blend Chicken and Rice Formula - 34 lb. Bag

My 11 year old loves this stuff. Mix it with the other we have on hand (team Dog) , will go to this product when all other is gone. It appears to be helping with weight gain. The Team Dog is very rich- use it for young robust pups, old guys need a little less.

We have 2 Beagles, a Pug and a Red Tick Coonhound and they love Pro-Plan. We’ve been using Pro-Plan for YEARS!! I believe the food quality is good as are the ingredients. Sometimes I change to turkey & oatmeal, but I’ve used PP for so many years as the dogs skin is great, and their bowels (sorry,) no vomiting, etc….. I like the appearance (bland lol.). And the size is consistent. I will be honest in that the price seems to have gone up quite a bit and with 4 dogs - eeek! But I guess that’s the price of a good quality food. I’m not willing to give my dogs garbage.

Item arrived with no damage. This is my go to brand for my three legged dog since he has too much weight on his front leg its a good healthy choice. He ate half a bag of these in one sitting and absolutely destroyed our living room. Spent days cleaning, but he loved it. Good quality, fresh, and doesn't smell foul.

This product has helped maintain my dogs weight well. They both like the taste and never hesitate to finish it. The price is amongst the best I can find for this food.

My chubby girl seems to like this. She can be picky and her desire for meals can vary, so I actually tried a few brands before I settled on this and Iams. I figure having the 2 in rotation or mixed will help keep her interest. The shreds add appeal according to my dog.

My one eye Freddie LOVES this food. He has stomach issues and he is an old guy at 15 years old and he tolerates this very well. He has been on this food for almost 8 years.

We own three dogs and two are finicky with what they will eat. Our third dog, which is a Puggle, will eat anything put in front of him (notorious Pug eating), so I would not know if it is a taste he likes or just something to eat. My purpose of trying this was to help our Puggle lose weight and while feeding him this food, the other two dogs got a taste and now neither will not eat their food and will only eat this Purina Pro Plan. Our Chihuahua and Pit Bull goes nuts with this food and both will turn and walk away from their dish if this Purina is not in it, so this is solid evidence to me that this is a great tasting dog food. This makes food shopping for all three dogs super simple now and once I know how long this 35 lb bag will last, I will be ordering only this from now on. **Update** 12-Dec and my Puggle is losing weight and I am only half way through the first bag. All three dogs still refuse to eat their other food and will only eat this. I would like to try another Pro Plan for the other two dogs since they are not overweight, but what fix it when it's not broken. I will be setting this up for auto-purchase every other month beginning January 2018 as this is by far the best dog food I've purchased and I've spent some serious money on expensive dog food that is supposed to be the best. This Purina Pro Plan is the best and I'm not compensated in any way to say this.

This bag weights 34 lbs. and is rather heavy for me to haul home by myself. Amazon subscription service allows me to purchase it cheaper than I could at the grocery or pet store and then delivers it to my door step free of charge. It comes in many different formula's such a Sensitive Stomach, Weight Management, and many others. I usually buy the Weight Management formula, because my dogs are no longer puppies and I am concerned about them maintaining a healthy weight. This dog food is jammed packed full of healthy ingredients too, because the first ingredient listed on the label is CHICKEN. My vet says, the first ingredient is the one of the most IMPORTANT and it is also what the bag has the MOST of. Start reading the other labels out there and you will be surprised at how many of them list CORN as the first ingredient, and then lies to the consumer saying it is a healthy dog food, when it's NOT. Purina's Beneful has over 229 Complains lodged against it for marketing it as a HEALTHY dog food to unsuspecting consumers. This was taken from an article posted in the "Dogingtonpost.com". The first ingredient in Purina's Beneful is CORN which raises your dogs blood sugar, provides little nutritional value to your dog and is not easily digested by dogs. The next ingredient Chicken by-product meal, which is the WASTE after the good parts of the chicken have been removed. This is the feet, beaks, undeveloped eggs, & organs. (None of this is fit for human consumption, and it's not healthy for your pet either). In the human food industry, there are laws against calling something healthy when it's not. There are regulations against deceitful packaging and out right lies to consumers. Unfortunately, there are no such laws & regulations in the dog food industry. Fortunately, the Purina Pro Plan Series is truly healthy dog food for our beloved pets. You can buy this particular product with confidence and know that you are providing your dog with what he needs to have a good balanced diet, strong teeth and bones and to over all be healthy and happy.

This dog food has been excellent at keeping my Labrador's weight consistent. He loves it and the shredded bits are excellent to use as treats, so therefore no need to buy additional treats. Labs can have sensitive stomachs, but this food has worked very well for our dog. As well, he uses it to maintain weight, not to reduce it. I highly recommend it. I love getting it delivered because the bag is very awkward and heavy.

My furry family enjoys this product and are responding well. My issue here is with the packaging, every month the bag of dog food comes packed in a box but the box is usually 2-4 times bigger than the bag. Makes it very awkward to handle and every single driver has had difficulty as the bag falls to one side of the box. Please be more conscious when packing this item as the large box makes it very difficult and awkward to handle, not to mention taking up excessive space for transport. Sorry forgot the pic. Before unpacking.

What has happened the last 2 or 3 bags are crawling with bugs when I open the bag..?? Thought it was a fluke but has happened multiple times now... very disappointed in the product my fur babies are supposed to consume.

My dogs love this food. One of my dogs (7 years old) has never been big on feeding time. She would actually often leave a lot of food behind after eating her meals. With this food, she comes up to see me fill her bowl up and finishes every last kibble.
