Love this. Easy. No constant watching/turning bacon. Perfect every time. 6 slices at a time. No curling. No splatter on me or the stove. Hardly any grease left on finished product. READ DIRECTIONS. ie microwave power at 80%. It affects how long to cook. We like crispy so added more time in small increments while in our learning curve. Cleanup simplfied; still needs attention in only a few spots. Suggested change: larger,cooler lid handle on lid. Overall: highly recommend. Buying 2nd one for convenience.

This product consequently cooks perfect bacon (adjusting the minutes to your preference and how you like your bacon cooked). I've pan fried using a bunch of techniques (water evaporation, different temperatures, grill types, etc.,) as well as several oven baking techniques and this simple contraption nested them all in the "Microwave"! Seriously, I can't really tell that it was cooked in the microwave by the taste. I've tried a few 'in the microwave' cooking product, but this one (especially for the price) does a great job! The spatter-proof lid is essential or you'll be dealing with grease ALL OVER the inside of your microwave. It's a pain to clean up. The only downside to this particular unit is the clean-up. The grease pours out nicely, but it some of the grease and bacon drippings get crusted onto the tray. Not the end of the world, but I do have to get a scrub brush and spend about 10 minutes rigorously cleaning it. It if wasn't for this, I would have given it 5 stars. If you purchase this unit, I wouldn't recommend trying to scrape it with a metal scraper, and while a plastic scraper might seem like a good idea, it really wont get the sides of the grill walls very well. The best method I've found (besides popping it into the dishwasher after an initial once over) is to get some hot water running and then holding it sideways under it while scrubbing it with a plastic scrub brush. It takes a little bit of time, but works faster than trying to scrape it first or letting it soak and then creating some cleaning concoction I've read about (seriously, as if I had all the time in the world for cleaning something I'm actually cooking with in the microwave!). I'm lazy, but I do love my bacon!

Easy to use. Easy to clean. Comes with tray cover that prevents a greasy microwave splatter. Dishwasher safe. Stores easily. Great for people that save bacon grease, the drippings pour off the corners without making a mess. Tasty bacon cooks for ~1 minute per slice.

This is the best thing in my kitchen! Lay the bacon out, cover on, 7- minutes at 80% cooks bacon crisp. Use a ove glove to take it out because it's hot. Bacon comes out flat, not curled up and not greasy. I'm not kidding, this is the greatest!

Bought this 2 years ago. Pros: easy clean, dishwasher safe, has "handles" that stay cool for removing from the microwave. Cons: the lids handle isn't big enough and since that outside part stays greasy feeling (like it's not clean), it's difficult to lift it. I always wash both pieces in the dishwasher but that darn lid still feels greasy even when hand washing. The lid is the only reason I'm shopping for a new one.

I read the instructions and I have a 1000 watt micro so I cooked three center cut slices at 80%. I had to balance it on the edges of my turntable in my over-range GE Profile micro, but it did fit. Made a lot of popping noises so I was worried, but when I took the lid off, it was very done and VERY crispy. No spatter in micro and clean up was so easy! I'm very impressed that I can have 3 pieces of crispy bacon in 3 minutes with NO grease spatters and no effort! Now I'm going to try a burger patty and see what happens.

This is a must in our kitchen for making bacon. We do put a double sheet of paper towel underneath it to absorb the grease on the actual rack. We apply the cover loosely so it won’t splatter. Works great every time. We also use the cover often for reheating other foods on plates. It washes and dry as well in the dishwasher. They last a very long time. This is our second purchase.
