I purchased this product because it has only 5 ingredients...I was looking for a plant based clean ingredient protein powder to add to my daily lifestyle....and this was it ....has a great taste. I use this in my over night oats and it turns out great every time.

I really like this protein. The only downside is the high price, but I got a very good price for a subscription on Thanksgiving. The taste is fantastic, and the best protein I have had. I use it on everything, and I like the company's ethos of using only genuine, clean ingredients. I haven't tried any other flavors, only vanilla, because vanilla is the most versatile flavor you can combine with strawberries if you want strawberry flavor or cacao if you want a chocolate flavor. I would highly recommend it.

I have a competitor’s brand which contains the same core ingredients and unlike most plant-based protein powders that I've tried, I had been very surprised to enjoy its taste to the point of looking forward to drinking it on its own, mixed only with milk. I then came across the Truvani line and assumed that as it contained the same ingredients (albeit perhaps in differing quantities) I *should* also really be pleased with it. So, I ordered vanilla which currently being on sale, is less expensive than the other brand. I always cook/bake with ground vanilla bean powder which has a strong, distinctive scent, so I was very surprised and a bit disappointed that when I opened the pouch, I could detect no hint of vanilla fragrance, in fact the powder really had no notable scent. Deciding to first try it for dinner, I mixed it into only milk with my frother. Unfortunately, even one sip was to me so cloyingly sweet that I thought I'd see if I could remedy that by adding a hearty scoop of unflavored/unsweetened whey and additional milk. While I was able to drink it, it was *not* enjoyable and the aftertaste from the monk fruit extract, while it did not linger as long as stevia does, was really unpleasant. I experienced severe gas and while I went to bed at 10pm, I couldn’t get to sleep until nearly 2am and this morning I woke up with a headache. Even so, as the amount spent is significant to my budget and very reasonably, opened food items are not returnable, I decided to try again this morning, mixing it in milk with whey, cacao powder, blueberries, and my greens powder. Unfortunately, after drinking less than a fourth of it, the unpleasant taste was still so overpowering that I poured out the rest of it. The taste of any food and even how it reacts to the body is of course highly subjective, what one person absolutely loves, another simply cannot stomach. All things considered and while I really wanted to love this product, I instead won’t be using the rest of it.

Truvani is a top-notch protein powder brand with several amazing flavors, and this vanilla vegan option is no exception! It’s an excellent choice for anyone avoiding dairy and its derivatives, and the flavor is smooth, clean, and not overly sweet. It blends beautifully into my smoothies — no chalky aftertaste, and it pairs well with fruits and veggies. However, I wouldn’t recommend using it in a shaker bottle alone. It tends to have a slightly gritty texture when not fully blended, which may be especially noticeable for those (like me!) with sensory sensitivities or ADHD. That minor issue aside, this is a fantastic plant-based protein and a great addition to any smoothie routine. Four stars for the shaker texture, but five stars for flavor and blendability in a proper smoothie!
