Best 3rd party Gamecube Controller? Need a shell? Do you like modding?
I initially got a 3rd party controller to compare it to the official Nintendo Gamecube Controller for playing Smash Melee. Obviously, the shell doesn't feel as solid as the official one (but the colors are enticing). The stick box potentiometers are not as responsive, the stick box has a bit too much resistance, the rumble feels a lot weaker (but who cares), the buttons feel okay, the button pad resistance is okay, z-button IS tactile, and the controller itself is lighter. If you want to buy a controller for serious gameplay, this is not for you. But if you want to play something like Legend of Zelda, this will work great if you don't want to buy an official controller. These Reiso controllers are better than almost all other 3rd party controllers ONLY because THE STICK BOX POTENTIOMETERS ARE 10KΩ. Others like AreMe are 5KΩ or 3KΩ. Official controllers are 30KΩ. This means that these Reiso sticks are more responsive and less 'jumpy' than other 3rd party sticks. For the modders: If you are getting this just for the SHELL, you can fit in an official controller motherboard if you sand down the rumble braces on the back shell. I did this with the green controller and it feels great! I also threw in some buttons from ETSY and soldered on some UV LED diodes. It's perfect for Melee. On the blue/green controller, I kept the 3rd party motherboard, swapped in with some cheep Amazon buttons, put on some UV LEDs and switched out the stick potentiometers with 30KΩ potentiometers. The stick is a lot more responsive now. They don't fit perfectly, but you can mount them on well with finesse.

Great bang for your buck
Obviously slightly cheaper than the original game sine controllers I own. But overall, great quality for the price. Both controller work perfectly. Only noticeable differance is they are slightly lighter weight, the buttons are a little louder, and the thumb sticks are slightly more resistant/stiff. BUT, these could all seem that way because I am comparing them to a nearly 15 year old controller that’s been perfectly broken in over time!

Surprisingly good for the price
Look, these are 3rd party controllers, you're not gonna get the quality of a Nintendo licensed product here. That being said, these are pretty dang good controllers. The buttons feel pretty solid, the sticks feel good, and the weight is just fine. The only negatives I can see are that the cords are very short, and the Z button is very clicky and different. Other than that, you get 2 surprisingly good controllers for a very good price, what more could you want? Edit as of 27MAY19 I really just came back to say that I am beyond impressed with these controllers. My above statements still stand, but these controllers have lasted longer than any other 3rd party controller that I've ever had. Seriously, They're still going strong. I'm not saying I'm constantly using them and beating the ever living crap out of them, but they have gone through countless very intense smash rounds, and I still have not had any major issues. Seriously, get these controllers. They are absolutely worth the small price.

Chose it for the color!
I honestly love the translucent purple color which is why I chose it in the first place. It’s like any other GC controller so I have no valid complaints. My only complaint (and this is not even a rational complaint because I am weird) is that I use this controller with modded games, and with some modded games the Z button does not work, but with any vanilla game, this is a perfect controller. So I will gladly give it 5 stars, and would buy again

Very Close to Original
The price you pay is quite good for the value received. Buttons, joysticks, and rumble are all very close to an original manufacturers controller. Plus I like the cool translucent colors. Cords, triggers, and connectors are also right on the money. I was a bit worried about the joysticks possibly being overly sensitive after reading a few reviews, but that was not the case for the products I received. I do have an original controller to compare it with, and both have a small zone of "barely pushing" before it registers as a complete engagement. That's the way they're intended to work. The cords are a bit short, just like the originals. So if you intend to play from a distance, it might be a good idea to purchase some cord extensions. If it wasn't for the Wii backwards compatibility and the diehard Smash Brothers fanbase, I seriously doubt you'd be able to find such good quality controllers brand new for a vintage system. Happy with my purchase, and I'd recommend them to friends. Will update if my opinion changes over time.

50% failure rate
I bought 4 of these, two didn't work right out of the box. The terminals in the end connector got pushed back into the housing when it was plugged in. An easy fix if you're handy with pliers, but a hassle nonetheless. Otherwise they're fine for the price. Z button is clickier, A button is deeper. Worked fine for Smash Bros.

Exactly what I needed, and looks awesome!
My brother and I have been trying to get back into our old games from when we were kids, but our old messed up wavebird controllers weren't up to the task anymore. Didn't want to spend some ridiculous amount of money on old controllers again, and then I found these. The price is a steal, the controllers feel great even for my Xbox trained hands, and the buttons are very satisfying to use, exactly what I wanted. I got the 2 pack of transparent moss green and deep green controllers. The deep green is more of a light blue, but it still looks really nice, while the moss green looks almost Rick and Morty portal themed. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to get back into old school gaming

Price for value, I'd definitely recommend these
I have an original Nintendo GameCube controller and I used it alongside these to play Melee in preparation for Dec. 7th (Smash Ultimate) and I gotta say that, while there's no replacement for the official controllers, these are the best third party controllers I've ever used. The buttons are the -slightest- bit stiffer and the triggers arenth
