Empire total war
It runs on steam which I wasn’t told in time. Now they won’t take it back.

The best fit era for Total War games
Considering the formation-based warfare of this era it is, by some way, the best fit for the Total War games. It is a BIG game and you can get lost in terms of victory objectives. The game could be shorter and more focused and that is why TW Napoleon exists. But it is great and you can spend time creating your empire. I have played TW games since the first Shogun and it is great to see a game that doesn't have super-hero units capable of wiping out whole formations by themselves. or flying-fire-fart-projecting-war-elephant-trolls a la TW WH games. There are no superhero units who can wipe out a formation alone.

Le jeu ne marche pas ou demande une installation extrêmement contraignante. On vous oblige, en effet, à vous abonner à une plateforme de jeux - soit disant pour éviter les piratages, mais qui s'avère surtout être un moyen pour vous inonder de pubs. Pour cela vous devez installer un petit logiciel (qui ne marche pas) pour accéder à votre jeu. Le numéro de téléphone de la hotline indiqué dans le boitier du jeu ne fonctionne pas non plus. J'ai passé 4 jours à essayer de trouver une solution, à dialoguer en vain (en anglais) avec l'assistance de la plateforme Steam... Rien : dialogue de sourds, solution inappropriées, etc. Sega (en matière de fumisterie), c'est plus fort que toi !

I was able to install the game by downloading it from steam and using my code in the box. The game would not install just off the disc. Next problem is that the in game text is blurry, which makes it difficult to play an economic management game. It is just too hard to read the text. Takes the fun out of it. Game looks like fun, I just can't play it!
