MONOGATARI Series Box Set Season 1

I've never read the Monogatari novels before but after hearing so many great reviews about the series, decided to grab this box set while it was on sale. Aesthetically the books are top quality - Vofan's artwork is incredible and the box case itself is both hard and heavy. There's also an extra card inside that confirms only 5,000 of these sets were printed. It's clear that the utmost care was put into publishing this set. Whether you're a longtime Monogatari fan or looking to get into the series for the first time, this is a worthwhile purchase. One word of warning: Amazon's "prime shipping" was a disgrace. They put the product inside a box that was far bigger than necessary with no packing material inside to keep it safe. In other words, the product will have tumbled all over the box while it was in transit. Very luckily, the Monogatari box is so thick and sturdy that there was no damage to my copy upon arrival. But if you're definitely planning to buy this set or request it as a holiday gift, I highly recommend buying from Right Stuf Anime or Barnes & Noble instead, both of whom are known for better shipping practices than Amazon.

It's a good series to read

Nice 2 day shipping with high quality packaging. My only complaint is that the book spines were a little dirty with dust or some sort of white powder. But that is easily combatted with a swipe or your hand. Came with a card which I didn't expect and the box itself isn't damaged at all. The pages are very nice and there is nothing wrong with the inking or covers.

One of my favorite sagas of all time

This series isn't talked about a lot in the US. The anime isn't dubbed and the books are still being translated. Read it. You won't regret it. The novels are funny, fresh, and fly right by. The characters talk a lot, but that makes the novels move quickly, and this develops the characters at incredible speed. They're super light and the cover art is magnificent. I have never bought more beautiful paperback books. If only as a piece of visual art, buy this box set, but the books themselves are amazing. I'm currently at the end of Season 2 and am procrastinating Season 3 so that I can fully appreciate. ++Monogatari. Very underrated

First time getting into the series at all, so have yet to read it. But the quality of the box is wonderful with a great artsyle. The books themselves are also mint and feel great to hold. It even came with a little card that shows the whole picture that's on the box.

The best thing about these "seasons" is that each one stops just at the right point. If you've already read them, having the physical version can't be topped because they look amazing together. 100% recommended.

Please, if you are currently thinking about the choice of getting this box set i can assure you this is nothing but one of the most well written works out there from Nisioisin. Personally i have read uptil vol 2 of bakemonogatari and will begin the 3rd one soon as i write this review and let me say, Nisioisin writing style, with intresting twist and word play with the combination of him being unshamed of writing what he wants (which is what he is loved for) and intresting characters that feel all intresting and play accordingly to their nature is something you dont see often in literature. He is, in my humble opinion the greatest there is in his field, no other author keeps me hooked with emotionally intresting characters as his works. Aside from the content the books came in a box set with 7 of them and the box was in prime condition, something you dont see often with amazon shipping.

Tal como aparece en la imagen. A pesar de que el envío venía sin proteger (dentro de la caja y ya, como siempre que Amazon manda cualquier libro), al menos estaba precintado y en mi caso ha llegado en perfectas condiciones. El cartón que contiene las novelas es duro, tal vez algo más recio que las cajas que suelen traer algunos mangas aquí en España. Trae una pequeña postal con la misma ilustración de la caja y que no está mal para usar de marcapáginas. La edición está bastante cuidada, con un buen gramaje y tacto de las páginas y portadas. La traducción también me parece bastante correcta, a pesar de haber leído lo contrario en algún lugar. En inglés. Se entiende bastante bien pero seguramente tengas que buscar más de una palabra suelta (algún tecnicismo o adjetivo, a veces un tanto enrevesados) si quieres entenderlo del todo. Si no, el contexto es suficiente para hacerse una idea y posee una gramática más común. Este formato además permite ahorrar si se tiene pensado adquirirlas todas.

Chegou bem embalado, entrega rápida, muito antes do prazo, todos os livros são maravilhosos. Espero que venha logo a sequência.
