One of our HP Compaq Pro 6305 systems developed an issue where after an hour to two hours it would spontaneously turn itself off. Not shut down. It just powered itself off. Puzzled through the possible causes, ended up swapping power supplies with another 6305 and the problem followed the supply. This unit came in and fit perfectly and resolved the issue. The cables on the unit I received are just slightly shorter than the OEM unit it replaced - not too short to fit, but short enough that it took a little effort to get the new stiff cables massaged to fit the distance. It's possible once they're broken in by sustained heating they'll stretch and fit better.

As a point of comparison, I purchased a previous aftermarket power supply after my original suddenly died. That one lasted a little less than a year--considering it was 20% the price of OEM, not bad. However, it was incredibly loud. This one is quiet as a mouse and a couple of bucks cheaper. Here's to getting at least a year out of this one!

My HP Elite desktop is my lifeline at my HomeOffice and everything is on it. When my Power Supply died, I wasn't sure if it was my motherboard or the power supply. I'm glad I took the risk and bought this power supply. Plugged it in and worked like a charm. The packaging was a little shoddy but the product works great. I'm back in business baby!!

Quick update: Continues to be quiet and is working perfectly. Have added a few more power hungry accessories with no problems. Dropped right in fit perfectly! Very quiet as others have mentioned. Nice and quiet, clean and brand new. Can't beat that!

Just received this as a replacement to my HP Elite 8300 SFF desktop that the original power supply just died in. Super easy to install, fits perfectly and my PC fired right back up. Hopefully it will last, but all good and I'm back in business.

tried 2 power supplies, both very loud(fan). They dont test or dont care or are using old fans in refurbed units. I returned the first unit and found the second one just as bad. I will keep it and I have ordered new fans and I will replace it myself. If fan noise is not a issue for you then these are great PS for the money.

This was a perfect replacement for a client's HP Compaq Pro 6305 SFF computer. I've replaced a lot of power supply units over the years but never one that looked or was wired like this. I'm very happy that it resolved a PC that would not boot up.

Arrived in good time and works as specified . Time will be the ultimate test.
