Good, heavyweight ruler. Measurements are etched, which means they won't rub or fade over time. Shop around- several vendors sell this same ruler at different price points. And yes, you only get a SINGLE RULER.

This is s a very nice scale ruler, but it didn’t ship with any instructions on how to read the different scales. Otherwise I’d give it five stars.

I have to admit I was always envious of kids who had these in grade school, not sure why. But I never asked my parents to get me one, didn't really see a need. Childhood thoughts aside, this is a nice ruler. I've now got it in my shop as I'm always looking for a straight edge and find myself improvising way too much. I have a terrible habit of not putting away tools which is a problem when you have two garages on different parts of your property.I like that you can use a blade against this as it is metal and you will not nick the edge rendering it useless later for drawing a straight line. My one complaint is that the edges are not rounded and they're actually quite pointy.

I have been an architect for the last 10 years and in my office have plenty of plastic scales for sketching. Given the recent pandemic i have found myself working from my home office more often. When i would transport the cheap plastic scales to and from work i always ran the risk of chipping or damaging them otherwise. This is a light weight metal scale that fits perfectly in my bag. I love the black finish and it is accurate enough for my work.
