EH!!! I open my hand as wide as possible while holding these shears and the shears barely open wide enough for a branch... I have to take my hand out and open the shears wide enough for the branch and then press down on both sides of the shears in order for it to cut through a thick branch..,. This only opens wide enough for small twigs...

If you're going to get pruning shears you should always get shears of the ratchet variety. You can cut more easily and therefore cut thicker branches. Love these so far. Will order these again once the pair I have give up on me.

I love this Item so much that I had to order a second pair. I would recommend this to anybody that has any problems with their hands or fingers with arthritis.. They are very sharp and work very well.

I bought this item for myself and kept it I needed them. However, it was rickety & loose, even though it was sharp and cut ok. I bought another one as a gift for my daughter. I was stunned to find the one I bought for her was perfect, well-made, not rattly or loose, but now I'm stuck with the first one which is basically junk. A big disappointment and I wish you would replace it.

Ratcheting Pruners - worked okay. When they fully opened, I had to use both hands to close (felt like no stopping point for a grip). Ratcheted into limbs like they should. Closing with the slide bar is much easier than pulling up on a button on the other brands. I am using them; however they are not the perfect fit for my hand.
