The replacement tubes worked great. When my bug zapper stopped working, I thought I'd have to replace the zapper. After checking YouTube, I realized the tubes were replaceable. These replacement tubes work great and now I have enough for awhile.

review of : shootingstar bug zapper replacement bulbs - 4 pack I have 3 bug zappers around the house (outside and inside) and each one runs somewhere around 8 to 10 hours a day ... depending on when the sun sets/rises .... 365 days a year. So between those 3 units I find that I need to replace a bulb every 6 months or so (the lifespan of each bulb is six months to a year ... something in that range). And, the idea of buying a new zapper just because the bulb burned out never made much sense to me ... especially as the changing the bulb is super easy to do. In may case ... it is a simple manner of opening the bottom of the zapper, removing a single screw from cover plate, pulling the old bulb out of the 4-prong socket, pushing a new bulb into the socket, putting on the cover plate and the bottom plate. Simple ... maybe a minute to do. And, since I go through so many bulbs having a 4-pack of replacement bulbs is the absolute right way to go since the cost is so much lower with a multi-pack like the Shootingstar bulbs. From a quality perspective, these new bulbs look to be every bit as sturdy and useable as any of the other replacement bulbs I've tried in the past. And I do expect the lifespan of these bulbs to be a long as the others I used as well (though, of course, time will tell). The construction and thickness of the bulbs is what i would expect and the size (I double checked to make sure the dimensions of these bulbs ... including length width and placement of the 4 prongs matched what i already had in the zapper) matched perfectly. I do think, however, that the brightness of the new bulb is somewhat higher than the old bulb (and looks somewhat higher than the brightness in the other two units that I haven't replaced yet.) Overall, while I do wish that each bulb came with some 'padding' in the box for extra protection (the bulbs I looked at were okay though), these bulbs are well worth having around.

Works as advertised, perfect fit and received quick.

1st bulb out of the box only lasted about 15 minutes then started flickering. Next bulb works perfect. I love hearing the zaps. Easy to replace.
