No more messy frying pans to make my ham and cheese grilled sandwiches. It is first and a excellent sandwich maker, but it can be used for other things, like frying bacon, warming sausage paddies, grilling hot dogs and making toast. Simple to use, plug in, when the second light turns green, put in what your cooking close the lid and in two to three minutes, your finished. Not only is it fast, hot and small, the best thing is clean up. Wipe it down with a paper towel and let it cool and put it away. I have been using it almost daily, fix my English muffin in the morning and make sandwiches for lunch, and sometimes I use it for fixing a evening meal. For the price, it just can't be beat, I compare it to my microwave as the two items all kitchens need. On a scale of one to ten, it is a 20.

Absolutely THE BEST grilled cheese maker for the money. Makes two at a time. Very quick! Easy for anyone to use. If you are a bachelor or single person, all you need is this and a can opener to have it all. Also makes grilled ham sandwiches with or without the cheese, and great for fast cooked frozen rolled tacos. Only negative, no on-off switch. Must be unplugged after use. Cleanup is simple with a wet cloth and a little detergent. Wipes clean. We use ours many times a week and mostly for fast grilled cheese sandwiches.

I decided on this sandwich maker because I didn't want to spend to much money and still have a good sandwich. After looking at reviews all over, I decided on this and I am very happy with it. No on/off button, but no problem. It says to wait until the light is red, I usually don't, but that's just me. By the time my dog finishes eating, the first sandwich is done. By the time I'm done giving her the pills the second one is done and I'm on my way out the door. It works perfectly, heats up very, very quick, toasts the bread evenly and melts the cheese just right. I am definitely recommending this

This is a very basic sandwich maker, so try and keep your expectations reasonable which sometimes can be a challenge when people shop on amazon. The Process: Plug it in and let it pre-heat for few couple of mins, throw in the sandwich, unplug it and you're good to go. Pros: - Easy to operate - Easy to clean - Costs less then 2 drinks at a bar - Allows me any sized stuffing in my sandwich - kinda non-stick but you have to wipe it off Cons: - No on/off switch or timer - The groove on the plate that fits the bread will only fit 1 slice of bread at a time incase you're trying to warm 2 standard sized slices of frozen bread (sandwich bread slices are stacked, so this obviously is not an issue when making a sandwich) The guy who designed it either didn't think it through or maybe his wife was nagging him too much and he decided to keep it couple of inches short on purpose to make her suffer twice. - Doesn't iron my laundry - Doesn't walk my sandwich to my couch when I'm watching the game and my woman is in the 'do it yourself' mood. All in all a good buy.This is not Mars rover people, just a $20 sandwich maker. Stop analyzing too much and get on with your life.

I butter the outside of both slices of bread, and every sandwich--regardless of the type of bread used--comes out perfectly toasted with the "inside" (cheese, deli ham, etc.) cooked exactly the way I like it. This little sandwich maker seems to sense the type of bread used, and nothing has ever been either under-cooked or burned. It only takes a couple of minutes for it to toast a sandwich. I only need to cook one sandwich at a time, and it is perfect for that. I think it would be a bit "crowded" for two normal-size sandwiches. However, it is perfect for making a single sandwich, which is exactly what I needed. I had been looking for something like this, which is much smaller than most of the ones on the market. That makes it handy for storage.

This is a no-frills kind of appliance. I bought this for a loved one that loves sandwiches but needs something very easy to use because she is elderly and unable to cook and clean. This makes her life so much easier. The clean up is a cinch because it's non-stick. No frills so don't expect fancy buttons and colors. Just a basic appliance that works. Period.

Great product, loved that I was able to buy it used with some cosmetic blemishes and got it for cheap and still functions. No appliance like this is easy to clean so expect some hassle cleaning this. On the plus side, it's way more efficient than making a grilled cheese on the stove and you get the convenience of using electric instead of gas. Plug and play, very simple. It should be a little bigger so that it can fit fancy bread slices like a big sourdough slice or just any slice bigger than the store brand or plain old white Wonder bread slices which you have to eat 3 sandwiches of to feel satisfied. I like to apply a little cooking spray or a pat of butter on both sides of the surface before putting the bread in. A pro-tip is to spread mayo on the outside because it's all fat anyways and that allows easy spreading and nice even browning on the entire surface. It'd be nice if this product opened into two completely flat surfaces instead of stopping at a right angle so you can use both sides even if it's not for a sandwich. I haven't tried making eggs or anything else so I can't speak to how they cook those things. Seems too messy for that, best used for toasting sandwiches in my opinion.
