Used to make homemade emergency candles, works great but seems to have a light perfume scent when you melt the wax

This beeswax has been perfect for my homestead products. It melts down smoothly, has a clean, light natural scent, and blends beautifully into my balms and lotions. The quality is consistent and exactly what I need when I’m making small-batch skincare. I’ll definitely be ordering again.

I decided to try out this wax out for making candles as an alternative to the soya wax I have been using. The end result was utter rubbish. The wax seemed to melt and pour well at first, but the wax shrank in each container and the top around the wicks of every candle I poured cratered. This is definitely not '100% Organic Beeswax' (the use of 'organic' should have been an alarm bell to stay well away from this product) The only time I have experienced cratering like this is when I've used paraffin, which leads me to think this is coloured and scented paraffin. The colour and scent are decidedly NOT correct for pure beeswax. Lesson learned. If I could sent this product back to the manufacturer for a refund, I would.
