Works Well with My Garden Fountain
I bought three different pumps, all by Aquascape, to test with my fountain. For me it was difficult to determine which size pump would work best. I knew my fountain held about 20 gallons of water, that the height from pump to top of fountain was about 30”. So when the 90GPH specs said it would reach whatever it said, it seemed large enough. It wasn’t. I ordered the 180 GPH. It was better but still not exactly perfect although a good fountain person would probably know how to make it better. Anyway, I bought the 320 GPH and now I am satisfied with how the fountain works. I don’t use it full force but even reducing the flow, it is still powerful enough to fill the bowl with the four “spouts” in it that spills the water into the basis. The sound is right and it looks right. When the fountain people come to install the pump, we will see if they agree with me that the 320 GPH is the right pump. I had to purchase 5/8” ID tubing to fit on this pump and then feed 1/2” tubing through top of fountain to the piece of 5/8 tubing on the pump itself.

How to judge GPH water flow
When buying pumps it is hard to know how many gallons per hour (GPH) your pump should pump to get the flow you want. My bear fountain has a 21 inch rise. Aquascape makes 75, 90, 180 and 320 GPH pumps. The max height is 2, 3, 4, and 5.5 feet rise. What you need is the table they have on their box, see photo, showing the max flow for each pump. In the case of the 180 GPH pump it is 180 GPH at 0 feet (straight through), 125 GPH at 2 feet, 95 GPH at 3ft and 0 GPH at 4.1 ft. So don't buy the pump if you have a 4 ft rise because you will get no water. Even having this table the question is how much of a bubble will you get for X amount of GPH. In my case I had a 21 inch height, the 180 GPH model, .5 inch tube going from the pump into a 1/4 inch tube through the fountain (bear) and running it full open I got about a 1 inch bubble as shown in the attached video. In other words get a bigger pump than you think you need and you can always slow the flow. Also they say not to run this pump dry. It makes a loud noise you can hear if you do run it dry.

Good Replacement
Exact replacement for my current pump which just plain wore out after years of constant service. Haven't installed it yet as the fountain is drained for the winter, but is just what I needed to be ready for Spring! Four stars ONLY because it hasn't been installed yet.

Seems to operate very well. Good value.
We haven’t had the pump for a long time, but so far it’s working quite well.

Parts missing
Aquascape 91024 90 Submersible GPH Water Pump arrived today without the included adapters, making it useless. I contacted Aquascape, and was told I could purchase the adapter. WHY, when it was supposed to be included!!

Doesn't last long
Works great when it actually works. I had it running for a month before the motor started giving out. Randomly would give issues with sound but would stop for the most part. Used as a water feature in a bio active terrarium under the structure, wouldn't recommend this for such thing since it lacks longevity.

Water Pump
Excellent water pump I am using in a large fountain.

Have bought several of these pumps over the years. They break easily, are loud, or are not adjustable. This pump is hands down the best. Power cord is high quality, is quiet, and easy to adjust without affecting the motor. Most important, fish are safe as intake is well guarded. Highly recommended!

I love this pump. It's lasted for years without maintenance including running dry for a 2 week period while on vacation (auto water refill from float valve was accidentally turned off). After that it kept on working without issue and up until 2 weeks ago when I physically accidentally damaged it pulling it out of a tight spot, it still works. I've since bought another and think I will be sticking with aquascape in the future for the best pump I've had.

I bought this pump to replace a smaller pump used in a fountain that is 2 ft above the surface in an outdoor pond that is around 800 gallons. The pump arrived lightning fast which is always a bonus - much earlier than the projected delivery date. It set up in only minutes with no tools. Nice! And easily fit into my existing fountain tubing. Works perfectly and provides a much better water flow than my old 225 GPH pump. My only disappointment with the product so far is how terribly short the cord is. What were they thinking? Once submerged in my pond I barely have any cord to connect it to power. I suspect most people (myself included) would require a much longer cord for a pump of this size. That means what choice is there beyond using an outdoor extension cord which not recommended. For an otherwise well made product the cord issue seems really disappointing. But the results with my fountain are fantastic and I am very pleased I with the pump itself.

I have bought a few of these in the past and they are very useful and certainly a reasonable price. Works well in my backyard pond.

The product arrived without any damage to the package and looked good when I opened it. But it doesn’t work at all. I thought it wasn’t getting power but checked and the power source was good. I live in a small town and I can’t really return it because the gas to travel to and from the post office would cost more than the pump is worth. Extremely disappointing!
