Works with Synology DS723+
Stock RAM at 2GB is a bit tight ... A couple of these and you can run a few vms and it already felt smoother dealing with large file transfers.

It works!
ACER ASPIRE XC-840 Desktop Thought I'd share this for anyone else who may be old and/or doesn't work on adding/replacing memory on desktop PCs. In this case the bottom line was REPLACING and not adding a RAM memory module to increase the RAM. Was unsure at first if I was supposed to place the module in the only empty slot on the motherboard or remove an existing module and replace it with this one. The empty slot was not the same shape/design as the other two slots that were holding the other memory modules. Called ACER for support to confirm and was asked to call back in a hour. Took a second look at the memory modules installed on the desktop motherboard and based on the information on the modules (4GB printed on it) and same shape as this memory module, I decided the correct action was to remove one of those memory modules and install this 8GB module. I did that, hooked everything back up, powered up and confirmed the desktop now has 12GB of RAM. I'm thinking the other expansion slot at the bottom left of the motherboard is for either a graphics card or another internal hard drive or similar device.

Nice upgrade
Extra RAM is awesome for any task you do on your laptop. Keep in mind to have your BIOS updated and the proper settings on your msconfig if you are a Windows user.

Upgraded HP all in one
I bought a family room computer for simple tasks like google searches and excel sheets. I didn't spend a lot of money because of this. The computer ended up being so slow that nobody even bothered to use it. I watched in task manager and it never showed the 8 gigs of ram being fully utilized. I took a chance and bought this because it matched what was all ready used by this PC. I can't believe the difference it made. I will now chose this PC over my laptop and so will the rest of the family. This literally saved me from just buying another computer and changed a secondary computer into the most used one.

Works great with Lenovo ThinkPad E580.
Installing the Kingston ram was a breeze in my ThinkPad E580. Never had a problem with Kingston.

Didn’t work for me
Tried for days to get it to work with my Synology NAS DS220+ but it never accepted it. Tried reloading the OS, tried inserting about 1,000 times, making sure it was secure. Seems I’m stuck at 2GB forever.

Works!
Just popped this memory chip with a Kingston 250 GB M.2 PCle NVMe SSD on my Lenovo Ideapad 330s 15IKB. Not that I was expecting lightning speeds, but it's definitely zippy compared to a 4GB RAM. Worth every cent - and I thought I needed a technician. Hahaha. Girls you can do this! )
