The leafs came lose in a package , straight from whatever tree . Never sealed just lose . There is a page that comes with the leaf from California prop 65 warning . I just dumped them in our compost bin . Will not take a chance in drinking a tea that was not properly handled.

Good: These were fresh and in good condition. Bad: Advertised as "organic", but shipped unwrapped in an envelope with a black plastic interior, labeled "WARNING: Cancer and Reproductive harm..." WHY would you ship an organic product in a carcinogenic envelope?? This does not speak well for the care of the supplier.

Almost 90% of the leaves arrived fresh and in great condition. I managed to save them in my fridge for almost 2 weeks and use them. Over priced for sure but due to rarity of this item definitely going to buy again for hindu ceremonies at home! The picture is when I used after almost 2-3 weeks some were dry and wilted but still usable.
