I'm completely new to gimbals so I didn't really have any frame of reference. My kids have helped me explore the features though - are kid's these days just born with an innate ability to understand this stuff? :D The Insta360 Flow 2 Pro is a versatile gimbal designed for iPhone and Android users, promising smooth stabilisation and effective tracking. I was impressed that even a duffer like me can operate this straight out of the box and I was able to get really smooth tracked shots with very little effort or fiddling. It's tiny when folded away but the compact design includes a magnetic phone clamp for easy attachment and removal, a telescopic arm for extended reach, and built-in tripod legs for stable shots. The motors operate quietly and smoothly, and I couldn't hear any whir picked up in video. Despite my luddite reservations I found this a doddle to use, it's pretty intuitive and does all the heavy lifting for you. The tracking feature allows users to select a subject in the app, keeping it in frame while filming and the Insta360 app adds extra functionality. While it’s priced higher than some competitors, I'm given to believe this is a well respected brand that makes solid equipment. This particular gimbal offers strong performance and useful features, especially for iPhone users so if you are looking for this sort of device you should definitely consider it.

I've had quite a few gimbals before, admittedly they are cheaper versions, but worked pretty well. I wasn't too convinced with the apps as there were little downloads, and was concerned from a security perspective. Since having this Isnta360 Flow 2 - I'll never use one of those cheaper versions again. It's extremely portable, fantastic quality, the functionality is brilliant, and the instructions are easy-to-read. The aplication itself is pretty good, and actually feels like it's made specifically for this gimbal. Great for taking on holiday - I was able to take some pretty good videos for memories. Extremely happy, don't think there is anything better out there. Yes, it's expensive, but you do get what you pay for. Premium quality!

Item returned as failed after only taking approx 6 photos. Then next time I tried to use it the gimbal head refused to engage.

I have only really used gimbals from another brands, until using the Insta360 Flow 2 Pro, I had never used any of their products or gimbals before So I didn’t really know what to expect, but I had heard many good things about their products. This mobile phone gimbal is for both Android and iPhone’s, My review is based on experience with an iPhone only, I cannot comment on the Android compatibility. I mainly use phone gimbals for family holidays, capturing the moments and the sights while on vacations. This gimbal seemed perfect as it was a small compact size. I must say, using this, I am very surprised by the ease of use, straight out of the box, I am able to get professional looking smooth videos. This small gimbal has some fantastic features. The magnetic phone clamp/clasp is such a great idea, makes taking the phone on and off a breeze. The quality and features that have gone into this gimbal is so impressive, also the price is cheap, it’s far cheaper than others on the market. I’m happy and can hands down recommend for anyone. it makes your footage look professional, without the professional know how. In terms of the mechanics, the motors are quiet and smooth, it really does a great job making the video seem like you are gliding. The tracking feature is my favourite, that is amazing. Once you have the app on your phone, you can drag a square over the subject and it will lock on and track that subject. It really is that easy. I found the controls are easy to use and seem very responsive, it takes a little getting use to but it’s easy enough to pick up and use straight away. Other features I love are the tripod legs within the handle and the telescopic arm for selfie videos. No more needing to bring a tripod or selfie stick as it’s all inbuilt. Plus with the Ai video editing app, it’s an amazing tool for your phone. A highly recommended phone accessory you will enjoy using.

There is a little bit of a learning curve. If you take the time to learn how to use the gimbal you will love the results and the types of videos you can produce.

I'm actually returning this after just one week of use. I already left a scathing review of the app in the app store so this is just for anyone else looking to purchase this because of the self taping functionality. It does not work as described. I do simple videos while I am walking; I tried for several days to use the face tracker but the AI hallucinates and will randomly shift focus to something new. I had to stop using the tracking altogether so that feature is useless. The second day I used this, the gimbal would not function properly; the camera would just flop around with no stability. Frustrated, I shut it down, my recording session ruined. It worked the following day (just decided to work after being turned off I guess?) but five days in and again, no stability. Camera literally flopping around as you walk. This thing literally, did none of the things promised so I returned it. This is overpriced and absolutely unreliable.
