Okay, look. If you want pockets everywhere, this is not your jam. This is not your jam if you want enough room to carry an anvil. It you want to carry 2 yeti Rabmblers, this is not your jam either. On the other hand....if you want a 15 liter backpack (5 inches deep) that has a waterbottle pocket on the outside for a slim hydroflask or other slim 16-24 oz bottles, this will work. If you want something that doesn't scream "I wish I were hiking, dammit!" this will work. If you DON'T want dozens of useless, tiny interior pockets that only get in the way, this bag is for you. If you want comfortable shoulder straps, this is probably a bag for you as well (ymmv, in the shoulder straps department. At first I thought they were way too small and thin--but that actually work okay!). If you want a backpack that will hold a 14 inch laptop, iPad, a few files, a couple of books and lunch or your bose QC 45's (Or apples of various kinds) this will work. If you also need a couple of pockets to stash a wallet, keys, and personal items, this will work well. If you want something ridiculously stylish—think colors, stripes, and prints—this isn't your jam. I mean, it's a basic backpack that's well made. This is NOT a fashion piece, I don't care what any review says. It's a 15-liter backpack with room for what most people will need in a day or on a short trip. Because of all of that, I bought one. When I unpacked it, it looked so small that I thought, " Uh oh. This will never work." Then I added all of my junk for the day... and kept adding more! It's a little like a Honda CRV: well-made, it will last, and it swallows everything you buy at Costco. You know what I mean. And better than your Honda, it has a real lifetime guarantee. So if a zipper or seam blows (because you stuffed it like your CRV), call them, and they will repair or replace it. Period. This, my friends, is a tiny workhorse with more umpf than you expected. (But it's still not "stylish," "elegant," "soft," or any other pretty adjective you can think of. It's black. It's a backpack. It works--for 15 liters of space. And it's pretty narrow so it doesn't knock over that art in the museum you want to visit after work.

I travel often and have struggled for years to find a travel bag that is both convenient for my travel days and professional enough to carry into meetings. At long last the Briggs & Riley Medium Backpack fits the bill - it’s functional and beautiful! One of my biggest annoyances while traveling is digging around in my bag to find items. I always assumed I needed a bigger bag and was nervous about the reviews stating that this bag is smaller. It turns out that’s exactly what I needed. It fits everything I need perfectly and because it’s not extremely deep, everything is very easy to locate inside the bag making it EXTREMELY functional. There are a lot of different pockets within the bag itself making it easy to store multiple items in easy to reach places. The side pockets both zip fully giving you extra storage space if you elect to use them for something other than a water bottle. The price tag is a little steep but after trying so many different bags over the years, this one is worth every penny. If you’re on the fence, go ahead and jump over - you won’t regret it!

Got this to travel with my wheeled, carry on. Softly different color but the bags are different styles so that was expected. The top unzips to a flap which makes the inside easily accessible. It holds quite a bit and even when fully packed it's still comfortable to wear. The RFID pocket holds a passport & other cards or a small wallet. Will not hold a large wallet. Over all a great bag.

I bought this backpack as a birthday gift, and it was a total hit. The color is beautiful in person — rich, elegant, and goes with everything. Smaller than my old airplane backpack, but well designed and easy to use. Nice straps make it easy to wear. Looks great!

When I got the bag it looks good but way too small for me and looks like a ladies bag.

I have only had this bag for a few weeks now and I'm really liking it. It's super sturdy, the leather handle at the top is strong and the zippers open and close with ease. For me, it's the perfect size. It fits my laptop and iPad nicely with just enough room left for supplies. I also find the interior pocket at the top to be really convenient for things I use all the time, but are more valuable, like earpods. My only critique is that I wish the zipper pulls and logo weren't chrome and blingy--I prefer something a little more under-stated. That said, it's not a deal breaker. It's certainly not a cheap backpack, but it falls into the "you get what you pay for" category for me, and it's worth the money.

Had this bag for around 2 yrs. BEST backpack! I keep using others then returning back to it immediately. The pockets are amazing, keeps all my stuff organized for work. I carry laptop, ipad mini, snacks, stationary, wallet phone keys etc. all in different pockets. Still looks as good as new. Seriously one of the best purchases I got.

Very stylish ,elegant and well crafted backpack,has got a hidden RFID pocket,the colour opted by me was black which was expensive compared to the other 2 colours available.Ample pockets inside,tablet pouch,sturdy zippers and one bottle pocket with Briggs & Riley monogram on the front of this backpack makes it value for money.Highly recommended.

Bag is very light but it’s very tight in space. After putting computer it’s no longer able to hold file
