Let it Rain
These chain gutters are so easy to install. And I did use a twelve inch lawn staple to secure the bottom ring to the ground. Watching the rain below down the bowls is a mesmerizing beauty. And is a cherished accent to my gazebo.

It works beautifully and is beautiful.
I'm so freakin excited! This rain chain is awesome. We are close to finishing an addition of a covered front entrance. We have a copper roof and half round copper gutters. My husband wanted rain chains. We spent over $1,000 to get the rain chains he wanted custom made. The first rain after install the water from those chains went everywhere. We returned them (with a 20% restocking fee! 😩) . The first chains were so bad we actually got an estimate to change the pitch of our gutters and add downspouts along the house wall. Ugh! Over $1,000 more to do that! So, I really started researching. Long story short, due almost 100% to the reviews here (and the Monarch website which explains cup size, etc), I had reason to believe these might work, and for a fraction of the cost! I bought just one 8.5 length and figured I didn't have much to lose to just see. It took my husband about twenty minutes to install and later that day we had a hard rainfall. I'm going to upload a photo and videos because I would have hesitated even less if I had seen it in action. ....ugh, It's only letting me upload a photo (wasn't raining in this pick). Posted videos on YouTube, links in the comments.

Love these chains, and they work
I've ordered several rain chains - both copper and tin, and with the connector - and they work well and are beautiful. I let them end in a blue glazed pot with white stones, or just a pile of white stones at the corners, to diffuse the water. Just love them.

Quality Copper Rain Chain
This copper rain chain costs more than alternatives fashioned from copper plate, powder coated metal or aluminum. It is very well made and its quality will complement any home or landscape. Lotus flower details are appropriately simple and the cup is sized large enough to handle normal runoff. The reasonably heavy duty copper has a natural finish that will turn to a weathered patina in short order. It should long outlast less expensive options. Installation could hardly be easier and instructions are clear. It is made in India where they've been working with copper for about 4,000 years. With this Monarch rain chain, chance of buyer remorse is minimal. Would buy again.

Nice alternative to awkward downspout
We ordered this rain chain to replace a downspout by our front door. We had an old post removed and a new porch railing put in, so the old down spout was about a foot away from the new post and hanging in mid air. In my experience: PROS -Beautiful and unique. Adds to curb appeal and visual interest. -Good alternative to ugly or weirdly placed downspouts. -Sounds really lovely and is relaxing to watch (see my attached video) -Can water plants in following days from the rain water collected in a pot at the base of the chain. It’s best if you have a French drain of some sort underneath, but an anchored rain barrel can work well too. CONS -Can get overwhelmed in heavy rain if your gutters are not balanced. We are having our gutters replaced soon and plan to divert some water away from the porch where it comes down the rain chain. If you have very heavy rains or storms, it may overwhelm the chain. This really works best for drizzly rains. -A little tricky to install, but not bad. We bought the extra attachment to make the opening at the top where the gutter meets the chain smaller. -Started oxidizing quite a bit after the very first rain. It’s copper so that’s to be expected, but I hoped it would be more gradual. Overall we really like this chain and don’t regret purchasing it. I do with it would have been a little bit cheaper though.
