Perfect small compass for hikes
Clear and easy to read compass that provides sufficient accuracy for map reading whilst hiking. Worth spending a little more to buy from a reliable brand.

Decent low cost compass
My son needed a compass for Scouts as they do a lot of map reading and navigation. I tried a cheap one thinking it would be ok, but was rather dismayed at the time and care needed for the needle to settle and even then it often seemed to catch on the body of the compass when changing direction. Just not accurate enough. This little Silva was almost double the price but well worth it! It reads confidently, the needle doesn't stick and is well-damped. It is easy to sight and stays stable when moving. Markings are clear and useful. A simple, compact and great little basic compass.

I've not been lost in Dollar Glen since I got it
Not that I've been there since I did, but I also didn't get lost in the woods round by Falkirk Wheel and other similar woody places I've been. Works when your phone GPS gives up.
