These Plastic Nylon fine mesh Kefir Strainers are fantastic for straining kefir. After pouring the kefir in the strainer I use a plastic spoon to stir the kefir which allows it to go through the strainer. Once all liquid has gone through I am left with the kefir grains to make a new batch. To clean the strainers only use warm water and dish soap, then rinse.

Very nice set of mesh strainers! I love that they are all plastic so no part can rust. I also love that it has two handle to help it hang onto the bowl.

I like these strainers and use them for cooking and filtering liquids like water kefir and my vinegar. Only problem I had was getting too close to a high heat source as the mesh will melt. This is my second order as the second largest melted. I would have bought metal but read about rivets and handles falling off. These I know work - I was just careless and left it next a very hot burner.

The stores don't carry nylon mesh plastic strainers so I bought this on Amazon. They are excellent quality and I can do my milk kefir through them as metal affects the quality of the kefir grains. They do not tear or bend out of shape. You will get alot of use from these. I like the different sizes because I use different jars with them. The tabs on them hold well to the bowls I use them with.
