My cats are too smart for this stuff, but if for nothing else, it’s makes great adhesive back sandpaper for household projects. I found a good deal here. I can see this working well for dogs as they are not quite as finicky as cats.

I haven't taken my puppy to groomer yet but I needed to trim her nails. Anytime I went near them she wiggles and screams like she's dying. This product solved that. Put it on door going to my patio. Now I leave her inside and she scratches this to go outside. No more sharp nails digging into my skin or ruining my clothes.

Worked well at first. My dog's nails did file down and stay short for several weeks. After a few months now, she only uses one foot to paw at the door and so the other foot now has long nails again. Otherwise, it does work and stays put! In fact, I'm not sure how I'm going to get it off my window. 🙃

It might depend on the surface you put it on. But it comes down pretty easily on painted walls/doors from what we have experienced and in the process, peeling off paint. Also, my dog can shred it off the wall pretty easily making rips in the paper. Only reason I am continuing to use it is because the role they gave me was huge. So as pieces come down and pull off paint. I replace that area with a new panel of Emery paper so the area doesn’t look bad. It works, but not as well as I would have like it to.

This adhesive paper works wonders with my dog that jumps and scratches at our door when we come home. I was sick and tired of having to use sandpaper and repaint the wall next to our door. She is well behaved most of the time, but her anxious behavior upon our return was ruining our wall. The Pet Nail Self Adhesive Emery Paper is easy to cut and fit exactly where needed. It does not ruin the wall and is easy to replace if needed. Our dog may not be marking the wall, but her nails are being filed down so that is not a problem as we see it currently. This is not the most attractive solution, but it looks better than a scratched wall with peeling paint. There is plenty of this paper for several replacements as needed.

I have a husky that likes to kick and scratch the bedroom door to wake me up in the morning, but this same dog also doesn't like her nails trimmed, so I thought it would be a win win to put this on the back of my bedroom door. So far, it has been a win in the sense that she hit it a few times and didn't like it, so it's more of a deterrent than a nail filing system, but I'm also fine with that. Now she just barks and jumps on me to wake me up instead, so I'm considering making a blanket out of sandpaper to wrap myself in lol

My dog will NOT let me cut his nails for anything, and he's been tearing up my windowsill trying to get at animals outside. This is the perfect solution for both problems. I cut a strip to fit the windowsill which protects it, and helps file down my dogs nails at the same time! I balked at the price but it's a huge roll that should last me a decade or more. Worth it!

If you have a constant scratcher these can definitely help. My cat loves them so far.

Perfect for cats who don’t want their nails trimmed. I stick it to the bottom of the litter box. Top tip, don’t peel all of the backing off, just stick it by the edges for ease of changing. It lasts a long while each roll. It’s very sticky. Easy to put on. Not so easy to get off.

Perfect replacement

Super easy to install and very effective. The roll is bigger than I expected, so I was able to add this to all the trim my cats like to scratch when they want in a room, and still have a lot left over. The quality is very good.
