As others have said its JUNK. I was hoping by now the seller had pulled this garbage. But nope. I bought two hoping if one was dull the other would be sharp. Nope. Both as dull as a childs play knife. Would not cut plastic just melts it.

Wouldn't fit in my Makita XDT14 impact driver. Got the calipers out and measured 0.252" to 0.253" across the flats. Measured some other 1/4" qick change items and got 0.2475" to 0.2485" which gives an easy insertion and extraction, wobble-free fit. Got my saw file out and spent 15 minutes or so gradually and carefully filing down each flat until it fit. Poor QA/QC.

Biggest piece of junk I’ve found on Amazon. The shank was too big and didn’t fit in a dewalt impact. In a regular drill, it struggled to cut plastic. I’ve never seen such a poor example of a step bit.

Unbelievably useless. Either the design is bad or it’s dull but this drill could not enlarge a pilot hole in plastic! I started with a 1/4” hole in a plastic panel that was no more than 1/16” thick. It required a lot of pushing and high speed to get through the steps to get to the 20mm diameter and all the “cutting” was done by melting the plastic, not cutting it. This is just a useless piece of Chinese made junk. I am giving it two stars for some reason but realistically it’s a zero or one star at best.

This bit will not cut metal much at all. I had to start a hole in an automobile firewall with a standard drill bit, then expand the hole with other step bits. Then it could barely finish the last little bit of the opening to the size I needed with this bit. I had to press very hard, using cutting fluid and a heavy-duty drill to finish the job. Simply not worth it.

This is by far the worst step down bit I've ever purchased. It will not cut through 1/4 inch ABS. It is dull and does not work as seller claims

Not hard, not sharp, didn't cut well.
