I was about to cook my elderberries when I realised that, since I have had my new handleless kitchen built, I no longer have any wall unit door handles from which to hang my strainer bags! This stand and bag were perfect for my needs and arrived the next day on Prime. It fits under my wall units fine, unlike some reviewers. The very front of my wall units with pelmet are 443mm from the worktop, the standard height for them to align with the top of tall units. The stand is 438mm high. But you can easily have the stand just partially underneath a cupboard, as it is triangle shaped, and still have plenty of room on standard worktop if you have a height problem. The strained bag holds enough for my needs and I found my 2pt measuring jug easily fitted underneath it when hanging though some people may prefer a bigger bag. The bag has an elastic top which fits the stand snuggly and stays in place when tucked under the 3 flaps for that purpose. I am sure you could easily adapt an existing strainer bag to fit it, or perhaps a bigger one, with either elastic or some string. If each leg were raised by resting each on an object, e.g. an upturned storage jar/tub, a bigger bag could be attached. The stand is a little flimsy when putting together but once together, even if it isn't fully snapped in, it holds itself together, especially once the strainer bag is fitted. The 3 legs can be stored laying one on top of each other and takes up hardly any room. However, I wasn't happy with each leg coming in it's own plastic bag - totally unnecessary. Overall, I am very happy with it and have bought a second one.

A bit small but takes a lot more fruit than it says. My new favourite bit of kit!

When I took the stand out of the packaging I wondered how it was going to stand up and how long these fragile pieces of plastic might last. Initially I had a big problem putting it together. My husband has used some tape to bind them. The strainer bag is good and wraps over the top. I was making some quince jelly. Normally I make it in big batches but looking at the size of the bag I reduced the amount sigificantly. It did not collapse when I poured in the cooked fruit and the next morning I had a very useful saucepan of liquid . I have decided not to take the stand apart for fear that it might they may not last long. I need to find somewhere to store it which won't be easy. I would have paid more for a more substantial stand
