This is amazing. It's so expensive, but it really is perfectly designed and a joy to use. Sturdy, feels like it will be long-lasting, and the inside spot for extra bags is magical. It's also magnetic, so I enjoy having some colorful national park magnets on the side! Easy to lift out the recycling bucket and carry it out, although it can fill quickly, since it's on the narrow side, but for a single person, I think that works fine. I do use a separate box for paper. The toe press feels so solid. Easy to clean, too. Great product.

Never thought I'd get excited over a garbage can. But this dual-compartment SimpleHuman has changed all that! It's extremely durable and compact, yet holds a lot of recyclables and trash. And it opens and closes seamlessly and quietly. I'm so hooked on it that I've even "bought" into the Simplehuman ecosystem, purchasing their replacement bags (which fit neatly inside the container for easy pull-out), as well as a small deodorizer that I replace monthly or so.

Having one container for garbage and recycling is so much better, and so worth the money. It’s sturdy and attractive. It’s pretty big, but doesn’t take up any more space than the 2 separate containers that it replaces. The recycling container comes out easily, as do the garbage bags. The lid won’t stay open without having your foot on the pedal, unless you open the entire top. That’s my only criticism, but it’s not a game changer.

simolehuman makes some quality products. While they are expensive and they really want you to use their bags it's a great bin to have. I found that any 13 gallon bags work really well and while it's not as snug of a fit as their own bags I find the price is worth the not snug fit. It looks sleek and I've never had any trouble with the opening and closing of the lid. Overall solid product and I highly recommend it!

Looks great, nice size, easy to purchase bags. However, the mechanism to open lid is weak. We have broken two of them over the past few years but keep buying them because the size, appearance, and availability of bags is so good.

Pricey, but absolutely worth it. The bin feels solid and well-built, and the soft-close lid closure works perfectly every time. I can’t speak to long-term durability yet, but the overall design and engineering are impressive - I never thought I’d be this excited about a trash can. The color silver looks really polished and elegant. The engineering of trash cans nowadays is amazing. But I still wouldn’t buy those electric automatic ones - that’s too much.

This is a solid trashcan if you are looking for one that will help you remember to recycle ! I thought that maybe the trashcan would be too small and fill up within one day but it’s usually good for 2-3 days depending on how much I’m cooking. I find myself looking at every thing I throw away to make sure I can’t recycle ! The size is great for us, it’s me my husband and my one year old. It comes with a thing inside that holds a scent pod and also a storage feature on the back for trash bags. The foot lever it super easy to use and it has a really nice soft close. Thanks simple human !

The cans are fine. I have two.. THE REPLACEMENT BAGS DON'T FIT !!!!!! The bags that arrive in the can fit perfectly -(which they brag about).. See picture - bag made for the square can. THEN, when I order EXPENSIVE replacement bags, THEY DON'T FIT -- too big and they hang all over the outside of the can. The website is silent about the obvious false picture which shows the "perfect fit bags". I consider it obvious deception -- they show a picture of a can with a bag that fits --- AND THEN THE BAG IS NOT AVAILABLE. This would be fine if the can cost $40 , but this is supposed to be a premium company - and I was deceived !!! I'm angry. Pic on the left is the "advertised" bag fit. The right shows my two cans with their available bags. UGLY. AY

Absolutely fantastic. Gorgeous , good looking and easy to use with the step opener. A solid brand and good customer service. Lid stays open when required. 58 litre is perfect size which fits under the height of the counter. Highly recommend this item.

Love the look of this garbage can, sleek and sturdy. Hope it will hold up for a long time.

Looks great and works well. The only thing is it sometimes slides back towards the wall after multiple usage and made a small mark. They have one out now that is sensor activated that would solve that minor issue.
