Performix 11294 Red Lava Pearlizer, 11 oz

This product is for using over one of the color products. It says on the can and page that it is meant to be used over the red spray to give it that dark red pearl finish. If you’re like me, you missed these instructions, and were surprised when getting the can in that it was mostly transparent. That being said, as for the product itself - it works perfectly when used as described. The pearl finish is fantastic, and using it over white gives it a salmon like color that is also impressive. I used this for a project trying to make a red rubber fish and the results were great. Very pearly.

Add thin layers, may not seem like you want it to but many layers make a difference and the color is amazing

I love the color, and the paint is super durable. My car has been through the car wash every other day for the past five months, no issues at all. 4 coats of red, and 2 coats of red pearlizer. It is so pretty. I get alot of compliments. Washed my wheel inserts with dishsoap and water, applied each coat generously, waited 30 minutes between each coat. Love the results. It looked horrible on the white inserts by itself (orangish translucent color). I would definitely suggest applying a base coat of somesort, until what you are spraying is already red.

I bought two cans to spray my hubcap inserts. Only needed one can to do all four wheels with 4 coats. Looks great and very easy to spray on.

Works exactly like the typical stuff.
