Behringer Microphono PP400 Phono Pre-Amplifier, Silver

The build quality is v good. I am feeding the output to edifier powered speakers. Amplification is also v good. In fact, I had ceramic cartridge, so the amplification was too much, causing clipping noise. I fixed it by making an external attenuator using 47k potentiometers. Then I got excellent results, amazing clarity. Would have been good if the manufacturer gave that simple addition. Then you can easily adjust amplification for magnetic or ceramic cartridges, making it more versatile. Grounding that brass nut is very important to keep the hum to minimum. It is tightened toi much, so I needed a pair of pliers to loosen it. Nice product overall.

A superb but compact (hardly fits my hand ) preamplifier . Although my record player has a built-in preamplifier ,I use this as this preamplifier gives "weight" to my songs .The output is rich in treble as well as bass .

Product supplied could not be used for want of appropriate adapter. Adapter supplied was as per U.K standard. Replacement has been ordered. Return has been picked up. Replacement not yet received. As soon as I receive the fresh one I will update my review. Review on 25.06.2019 Got the product on my second order. Above problem remains. I had to purchase a conversion plug from market. Any way the pre-amp is very nice. No noise/hum. Bass is very good but high frequency notes are little dull in comparison to built in pre-amp of my amp. In a nutshell a very good amp at this price. Highly recommended.

Works well ! Nothing to say, I use it to listen to records, connecting from an old phono out turntable to my audio speakers.

My old amplifier finally packed up after40 years of yeoman service. With this phono pre amp I can connect my mm cartridge record player to any modern integrated amplifier and still get the "vinyl" sound!

Item had suffered shipping damage on enclosure also a dent beneath seller did not provide a packing for shipping . function are good sounds nice extensive bass response and nice decent Mid. No Hum easy to set up. Clean background it has balanced pre out 1/4 TRS phono pin. Adaptor pin is not for Indian standard type and it is an USA version two pin and need to use extension round pin, however works with switching voltage 100-240 in spite of fact that it is indicated on original box as 120v. Ok already had an extension pin so it was not an issue

Easy to hook up and works very well. I think the sound is great through my Bose system and it means I can now listen to all my old LPs. It doesn’t have an on/off switch so I plugged it into my power bar which has an outlet with a switch.

I was looking for a cheap phono preamp to pair with a new turntable that I had received from my father. This fit the bill exactly. I have played nearly 10 hours already on it and it sounds phenomenal. There is no buzzing or anything. It is crisp and clear as I would expect from any receiver that had a phono input built in. Easy to set up and very simple. Instructions are very clear as well. Only con is that the ground screw was extremely tight when I received it and had to use a wrench to free it up, but after that, it worked very nicely. I would be careful to align the ground wire just right on the screw as it is just above the power input. Shouldn't be a problem if you're aware of it. Overall, definitely recommend if you are looking for something quick and easy to install and are not too concerned with anything fancy or expensive.
