It arrived broken:( I'll be returning this but won't be refunded until its received. Wouldn't give me the option for a replacement.

It's small-ish/medium sized - not big enough for over a normal bathroom sink. You would hang it over a bar countertop, or on a vertical side wall, or on a patio, or in a dainty office or reading nook, but it's not big enough to hang over a fireplace. You *could* rest it on the mantel over the fireplace and it would be really nice there, during the sparkling holidays among other holiday decor. The gold frame looks pretty in one room of mine, but garish in another - it depends on the lighting. It's got a little bit of glitter finish, which is coming into trend, but isn't classical at all, so beware. The mirror makes me look like I'm about 2 to 4 sizes slimmer. It doesn't warp, but it does shrink your reflection so that you can see more of you. I would rather use it for decor than for makeup application.

My wife wanted a mirror over their dresser, but not a basic, plain mirror. I found this, but the color was just not their style. That was no big deal as I painted it in a couple colors that are much more my wife's style. They absolutely loved the "custom" vanity mirror they received at Christmas. The mirror isn't huge, but that also means it's not really terribly heavy or likely to be dropped. Can be hung on the wall, or placed on top of a dresser, though it doesn't have a "stand" part on the back.
