Camera quality great but there might be more to know.
As I live overseas part time and am gone 4-8 weeks at a time I needed my entrance Arlo cameras to have power. So far the power connections are working perfectly. However, as I continue to use the set of 5 Arlo Pro 2 camera’s I am not learning there are major defects in the Arlo software! Firstly that you can’t independently arm and disarm specific camera’s and must set all 5 cameras for the same settings and secondly the downloads from Arlo can only be done one at a time and most alarmingly have NO metadata so after you download a clip there is no date/time stamp on when the video was made...so how do you use a video as proof for when an event happened? How would you organize 400 downloads? You would have to download then in sequence and hand type the date and time into the file name, that’s how. So while the camera quality is great how does that help me? I recently tried to download 400 videos all at once...firstly a pop up window told me to use FireFox or Chrome not Safari so I tried that...still I can only download one video at a time...and then there is no way to organize the video’s because no metadata is carried over unlike the company “Ring” whose doorbell I have and I love their video downloads because they quality is great and each clip is stamped with the correct date and time as well as in the file name meta data. Since I can’t take time to download video’s the 7 day free recordings are really just a placebo form of security. So I signed up for the 1 month free trail for 30 days of recordings and still can’t find any advantages to that...unlike Ring whom you can call and speak with an English Speaking human in the United States Arlo’s call centers are not in the USA...originally I had a mount break on me and trying to get a replacement turned into a 3 week, 3 day 3 hour ordeal just to get the correct part sent to me, as Arlo support sent the wrong part, yep it actually took 3 calls and 3 weeks waiting to finally get the correct part.

Easy fast charging
Somewhere along the line I lost the charger and the cable that came with my Arlo cameras. Not a big deal, I'd just use one of the chargers and cables that I have laying around right? Well, not always. First problem is the cable. The Arlo camera has the power port recessed into the case so the male end of the USB cable needs to go in deeper than normal. I had one USB cable out of a dozen that would actually fit into that tight space. Next problem is the charger. My collection of chargers (mostly from cell phones) would quite often give me an "incompatible charger" error in the Arlo app. But, every so often the charger would work, but sometimes the same charger wouldn't work. Go figure. So, in total frustration I bought this kit - not so much to keep a camera powered (all of my cameras are outdoors) but so I could charge the cameras. And, as you might expect it works just fine. A bit pricey but it's well made.

Proprietary Arlo power cord
Arlo makes you use their proprietary cords and power brick to charge their cameras. The cords, like all cords, have a life spam and when they do eventually die on you, you will need to purchase a new cord directly from them because other micro-usb cables and generic power bricks will not be recognized by the camera and thus wont charge. This cord works as intended and is relatively cheap but it was little inconvenient to have wait for the new cord to arrive before I can charge my camera because my old cord died on me.

arlo charger!
Replacement charger for Arlo. Charger works as intended, unfortunately the cable will crack at the ends if not properly cared for while charging (Made this way purposefully IMHO).

It is an oem charger and not a knock off.
Love the charger , rapid charge is a plus, the end of cable is made with the 90 degree plug in which suited my application and is not waterproof for outdoor applications, so before ordering this charger make sure that it is,, first long enough, second is it going to be water proof for outdoor use if not then this is the charger for you., but not forgetting that this one has the 90 degree plug in on camera for mounting. And this charger comes with a sticker for placement on door or window to notify visitors that they are camera monitored. Also, charger is a genuine Arlo charger and not a knock off.

Wire length is so helpful!
The length of the wire on this charger is so helpful for my Arlo system. I have my Arlo posted up high and it'd be hard to repeatedly get the battery this wire makes it so it has a steady stream of power at all times! I don't have to worry about the camera dying on me and it puts me at ease. The actual wire is nice and durable. It's also nice and thin so it can run up the wall from the outlet nice and seamlessly.

It is compatible with our arlo
Just received charger and it works very well with our Arlo! We had to resync the arlo base station with the camera because it was completely out of battery. Otherwise great quality for the price. Would definitely recommend. Hopefully it continues to work well.

Great sturdy cord that charges fast
It’s a little pricey, but I’ve tried other cords that didn’t charge up the Arlo camera properly or not at all. I needed a second cord because I keep one hooked up continuously to one of the indoor cameras, and needed the extra cord to charge the outdoor cameras since I don’t have an outdoor/solar charger. It works great and fast, had it over a month and no issues.

I needed to buy a new charging cable for my 5 year old Arlo cameras. This one is great. Exactly the same as the original that came with the system. I’ve only used it once so far so can’t comment on durability but so far so good.

It’s indoor use products. So, I don’t know why asking weatherproof questions. I bought this only for enabling “activity zones” function.
