Easy, functional and cheap.
Works great. I was a bit worried as I guess I needed normally open and didn't really want to mount it with the wires submerged, but all you have to do is take the clip off the bottom and flip the actually floaty bit. Works a charm!

Basic float switch
Switches work as expected, good price, long term reliability will have to be waited on. This type of switch rarely last more than a year in my aquarium auto top up system so not a problem as cheap and easy to replace. I would have liked the wires to be a little longer but still useable

Great for low wattage appliances
I first had a problem with the float bouncing up and down, so the pump kept turning on and off continuously. But I realised I’d put the pump and switch in the same plastic container, so the pump kept moving the float. I put the switch in a separate container. No problem then. The switch worked perfectly and is still working. I did damage a second float switch by using it with a pump which drew to much current, but that was my own fault too

N/O at the nut end of shaft
A good quality easy moving float switch. It can be mounted uodide down making it normally open. It makes a closed switch when the block hits the shaft washer. Cheap, reliable. Have 2, going to get 3 more.

failed at first circuit construction
both failed when connected to simple 12 volt relay activation circuits drawing 0.5a 12 volt. not worth effort to return them - probably ok if triggering surface mount circuits.

Switch on but don’t switch off
The switch on ok, but switch off when level drops

E' un classico interruttore su galleggiante. Funziona correttamente in ogni fluido (ovviamente non acido). Il galleggiante si muove libero dalla sede quindi non tende a bloccarsi. Attenzione che l'escursione è davvero minima ma svolge correttamente la sua funzione di interruttore on/off. Per sistemi di automazione Arduino è il top!

controle automatique niveau eau . ce capteur est totalement étanche , le flotteur magnetique commande un I.L.S (Interrupteur a lames souples) situé dans la partie fixe centrale. pas d'indication Vmax , Imax sur capteur. mais generalement les ampoules I.L.S supportent au maximum 100V , 0,5 A. En consequence , connecté sur relais statique sous 5V , 10 mA pour commander une pompe 300 W , 220V fonctionne parfaitement

Der Schwimmerschalter funktioniert einwandfrei. Bei mir wurden die Schwimmerschalter so geliefert, dass der Kontakt geschlossen ist wenn der Schwimmer unten ist. Das kann einfach geändert werden wenn man die Sprengscheibe entfernt, den Schwimmer umdreht und die Sprengscheibe wieder montiert. Ich Benutze 2 Stück Schwimmerschalter zur Überwachung einer Hebeanlage. => NO wenn der Schwimmer unten ist. Der Schwimmerschalter schaltet mittels Reed-Kontakt => Daher können keine große Lasten wie z.B. Pumpen geschaltet werden. Am besten ein Relais oder einen Digitalen Eingang wie bei mir. Dann bleibt der Schwimmerschalter auch nicht hängen wenn er einmal geschaltet hat wie es bei anderen der Fall war. Wenn eine zu große Last geschaltet wird, dann verschweißen die Kontakte, ist aber keine Fehlfunktion des Schalters sondern den Reed-Kontakten geschuldet. Die Kontakte habe bei mir einen Widerstand von etwa 0,1 Ohm im eingeschalteten Zustand.

Adquirí este sensor para controlar el agua que se filtra por las entradas y salidas de las tuberias, en una cubeta para depuradora de piscina. Al probarlo comprobé que el flotador del sensor en la parte baja cerraba el circuito y lo que necesito es que abra el circuito, por lo que le saqué el flotador y le dí la vuelta, consiguiendo que al llegar a la parte baja abriese el circuito, de esta manera solo activa el relé al subir el nivel del agua en el suelo de la cubeta.

El producto está bien, y funciona bien. Además, se conecta al pin digital del Arduino. Pero no me gusta la forma que tiene. Para hacer un uso correcto se ha de poner la boya en vertical debajo del recipiente. Por lo menos para lo que yo la necesitaba. Y es muy difícil ponerla debajo y que los cables salgan correctamente y no tengamos problemas con el recipiente. Pensándolo mejor si volviera a comprarlo, compraría el que tiene forma de L. Para poder ponerlo en un lateral del recipiente sin que estorbara.
